I missed a bit of MechCon on twitch so, please correct me if I'm wrong.

It seems to me that, other than a map being added to the game, there is no longer any content or development efforts being put into MW:O. It appeared to me that MechCon was primarily about MW5 and HBS Battletech. I saw nothing about future plans for MWO. If there was anything, could you please direct me to it? I would like to know if I need to seek refunds on recent purchases. I no longer see any reason to buy mech packs either if this is the case.

The whole Solaris arena system, with ranked 1v1 and 2v2 matches.

You actually missed Solaris then I guess. They're to be adding 1v1s and 2v2s as part of a large Ranking system with leaderboards and more.

Kind of hard to condense it all in a sentence or two, but it goes like this;

Solaris will include Bolt-on Geo, Sponsors from in-game companies, 1v1s and 2v2s, a Leaderboard system, and more.

Solaris is a brand new mode being added. It's not going to change the game in a fundamental way, but it looks like it will be an interesting diversion, something to do to mix it up from time to time.

This MWOWC lacked many things that we saw last year at the first MWOWC. The only real MWO info was Solaris City map in February March-ish and Solaris arena 1vs1 / 2vs2 in April Spring-ish/Soon!! And the in-house grown early Clan omni. Other than that no major or minor changes / direction...

The other part I was not happy with is the lack of cams. 99% of the stream was of one room, and most of that was a static location. Tina did a few interviews away from the floor but that was it.

I'll definitely be happy. Now I can just do 1v1s and know it's my fault I lost instead of incompetent teammates.

Skip to 8 hours 24 minutes.

Solaris city map (looks like a Ghost in the Shell/Blade Runner/Star Citizen hybrid of sorts). March-ish.

Solaris arenas... with what sounds like a repair and rearm setup, stock-ish mechs, leaderboards, sponsors and patrons... and uh... Sounds like a learning curve.

MW5: Mod support. 4 player co-op.

Another "Mechbay 2.0."
Walk through mechbay. (Noteworthy are climbable surfaces and platforms to view from...)
360* pan camera.
Something about faster loading.

If Solaris 7 arena fights with mechs covered in demons masks, are your thing, they added quite a bit.

If your more traditionalist in how you view the Franchise, then your correct.

F.W seems to have been pretty much abandoned to it's fate.

i dont see any reason to continue paying out. maybe next year if there is a loyalty mech i want, but the last batch were rather disappointing except the urbie. if russ wants to call us cheapskates for not wanting to spend more than $200 on this traiwreck, then by all means. i only play events now.

way i figure it if you buy one $20 mech pack a year you are supporting the very few major features that come out that year. or i can put my $20 into steam and get a whole game out of it.

Not sure if you're saying or thinking solaris will be apart of quickplay; it won't. It'll be in a separate system just like Faction Play.

There's a lot of incentives to play it too judging from what I saw.

I think he's talking about the queues for QP being gutted, like they are every time there's an FP event.

Which will probably be true for the first week or so when Solaris (SP?) is released. But it'll normalize again after that.

Yeap, cause there is only so many times one can have their rear handed to them before running off into the crowds...

I saw no incentives to play it.

It will just become a pointless exercise in epeen stroking, with silly bolted adon's

Why cant you just be "done" (only turkey and chickens are done :P) putting money in when you want to be finished?

Why does PGI have so much sway over your wallet?

Ok, bye.

I'll be merrily playing my new mechs on the new map and in Solaris.

Then why are you here? Its as 1v1 and 2v2 version of the game we already have and they made it deeper.
