Also is there any work around to speed it up? Its close to 2 minutes of waiting on either side to get into the hangar.

Only slowdown is loading into the hangar, I assume its still the problem with having hundreds of mechs - figured it would either be fixed by now ( and not worse) or someone might have found a work around.

It's connecting back to the server that takes a long time. This was introduced the same patch that made something else in the game loadfaster. People used to ***** a lot about that when they remembered how quick it used to be. So they removed the message "connecting to server". Its a nice jedi trick if you ask me. "what should we do?" "what if we dont tell them what takes a long time to happen, maybe they wont notice it"

My understanding is the loading times are affected by the size of your mech bay. Should be easy enough to test. Play the game under a brand new account. Are loading times faster?
Of course, the million dollar question is, why does the entire mech bay have to be reloaded anytime you enter or leave it?

It's because of the long loading time that I'm against any additional window dressing being added to the game management screens, including the 'Mechbay. If they want to add a screwaround mode (and IMO it'd be fun to have just to inspect 'Mechs from a meatbag's-eye-view), then let it be something you load into separately, like Testing Grounds. Otherwise it'll just get in the way.

I have 106 mechs, this may have been part of the problem but I'm not starting a new account to test it.
If I get Disconnected during a match, it takes longer than two minutes to open the game again, load in, and load the map. Which is why I'm constantly asking for a 5 minute reconnect window instead of 2.

FW areas seem to be loading fine, but another problem I have is; after a match in FW I'm thrown all the way back to the home screen; regardless if it's a scouting mission or regular drop.
If I leave the match early, I'm back in the FW area.
If I wait till the match results screen shows, I'm pushed all the way back and have to reenter the FW area.

But man alive, I would be SO embarrassed if I showed this game, as the developer, to a friend, with these HUGE load times. The login load time, so that damned pop up can spawn, is one area, and the post match return to the mech bay, are the 2 worst loads in the game, IMO.

They did "fix" it. Previously it took a lot longer.
I have 300+ Mechs and post match doesn't take more than 30 seconds for me.
I suspect you are experiencing a network issue and/or packet loss. When I've had network instability it has taken me noticeably longer to resync with the Mech Lab after matches.
In my opinion, if they just enabled us to work in the Mech Lab during the pre- and post-match wait periods, the wait times would be 'acceptable'.
The only things that happen in a match that need to be resynced between client and server post-match are XP, CBills, consumeables and achievements, for between one and four Mechs. That's only a Kbytes of information. No need for that to take long.

The thing that confuses me about this - I near insta-load into matches, which is where there should be sync issues if there were going to be any since you are trying to sync 24 clients to the same server instance versus connecting 1 to the server at the hangar.
You are right though, worse my be somewhat subjective - but I never recall it taking close to that long even after they made the switch to ui 2.

the time increased when they added the events tab thingy.. it takes a min to load that up now when you first start up the game.

This game does not like AMD CPU unfortunately, unless you are using latest Ryzen.
And even with my Intel it still takes about 30 seconds anyway...

Regardless I get good fps and loading for the parts of the game that should be cpu hungry - and ****** loading times into the menu which should have almost no loading time.
I could maybe understand the CPU debate if I wasn't getting good performance anywhere or in the matches, but there's just no good reason for the menu to take as long as it does.

Getting back to the mechbay, no, restarting the game because the server disconnected you, and trying to hurry up to reconnect, is terrible.
No its not CPU or GPU, I have an I7-7700K and a GTX1070 with an M.2 ssd.
The game overall runs like crap, its minimally optimized and is not capable even of using up the full potential of your GPU, everything maxed out, nope, still sits 50% idle GPU and runs, what 30-40% cpu.
Thats bad.
