Yep that WHM-6D is my standard. LL/ERML. Out trades a EBJ NP. Run the same build on the BLKNT. It doesn't work on the Top Dog though, I tried it. It just takes too long to cool down without the extra DHS. I found 3Ll/3ERML and a TC worked better for the 65T bracket.

GHP-5H with one less laser is mad as well, the heat gen is awesome especially hot maps.

I have my TDR-5S-T currently set up with only 17x DHS (pre-CW STD 280 build that I just upgraded to ERML onto the 3xLL+6xML that it had). Once I hit cap, it's 11s between shots if I am stationary and 12s if running. That's on Tourmaline. I imagine with an extra DHS in the build I linked I can shave about a half second off of that. And...it's only one sink off of the WHM-6D unless you run XL on the WHM to get a 20th sink, which makes the seeming hotness essentially a placebo. From my experience playing it, and given that you are only going to need 2.5 solid CT burns to destroy any Clan Heavy, seems like it's adequate for pure trading. It won't receive a push well, but then neither will the Warhammer.

True - in the right hands it can work, I love hot builds but usually that is because they cool off reasonably quick. The 65T IS mechs just don't due to the amount of DHS they lack vs weapons they can load. Just a personal thing really.

Since I've gotten plenty of requests to make a list of "suggested dropdecks" , I think its time for me to include it here as well.
Feel free to post sugessted dropdecks , some short commentary would be appreciated as well.

Its prob gonna look something like this . But it ain't final.

I've seen your question in the other topic.

You could build a decent dropdeck with those Warhammers + Battlemaster 1G + Assassin 21 . It would prob suit you for most maps.

BLR-1G (5xERLL) 85t
WHM-6R (2xGauss + 4xERmed) 70t
WHM-6D (3xLL+4xERMED) 70t
ASN-21(4xSRM4) 40t

Total = 265t (all tonnage used)
With those you would prob have a decent deck for most occasions.

Thanks for the idea, I love my battle master and warhammer, might swap out one o them for a maurader and then put in my panther.

I might have to scrap the Suggested drop decks idea . Its way too situational Posted Image.

Anyway , I updated the list with several new builds.

Hey, is this a good place to post our drop decks for some feedback then? I usually do 1500-2000 dmg in FP, using one of four decks. I have them set up like this:

DEFENSE- used only on defense missions, or where I need massive close ranged firepower:
ANH-1X (4 LBX10 - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...d769b0272172132)
CP-S (4 UAC5 - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...d7f64ff6c47b09d)
ASN-21 (4 SRM4 - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...16d965169ae1501)
JVN-10P ( 6 SRM2 - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...ad858cc43f88236)

LONG RANGE - used only on maps like Boreal, Polar Highlands, Alpine, or if called for by drop caller:
BNC-3M (5 ER LL, TC3 - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...c855784b6d841e6)
BLR-1G (6 ER LL - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...dd1aa3725d2e213)
TDR-5SS (5 ER LL - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...3467441b8c47558)
LCT-1V (1 ER LL - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...f81f13558d04076)

ASSAULT - used for assault missions and conquest missions, or as called for:
VTR-9S (AC20, 3 SRM6 - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...5f43dab1f7a3f13)
VTR-9S (AC20, 3 SRM6 - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...5f43dab1f7a3f13)
QKD-IV4 (2 MRM30, 2 ML - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...20de8524034b3ce)
ASN-21 (4 SRM4 - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...16d965169ae1501)

BALANCED - general all-around deck:
WHM-6R (2 Gauss, 4 ERML, http://mwo.smurfy-ne...f2449905b9001a7)
WHM-7D (2 LPL, 1LL, 6ERML - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...6ff2e713107457e)
WHM-6R (2 AC10, 4 ML - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...fcd147ad0df68ff)
BSW-X2 (2 LBX10, 2ML - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...f15bde6b3a6d415)

They all seem like decent decks tbh . I would make some changes , assault deck is a lil bit weird primarily that VTR-9B and RGH-1B builds but heck ... If you can make them work and have consisten 1500+ dmg with those then just stick with them.

Respect for that DRG-FLAME Posted Image . Just bought it yesterday and I am enjoying it so far.

Nobody expects the Flame, but I find it's my favorite heavy gauss carrier. so far.

What kind of swaps would you make then on the Assault deck? I'm not opposed to buying more mechs, but I'd like to keep it at 2 fast assaults, 1 light heavy or medium, and an assassin.

WVR-7D(or QKD-IV4 if you own it) instead of that roughneck and CP-10-Q (or some other fast assault) instead of the AC20/MRM40 victor . You can perhaps even underton a lil bit since its made for scouting and take a fast heavy instead.

Thanks for the idea of the QKD-IV. Never even looked at it, but it can do everything my roughneck could, faster, with jump jets. Had some spare MC and picked it up. Also got another VTR-9S, so my assault deck has nothing but 75+ MPH jump capable brawler mechs. This should be fun :)

If you like the Flame for HGauss, you are going to love the RGH-2A with HGauss and 3x MPL. Dat durability. Dat zombie capability. Dat 15% ballistic cooldown quirk.

One addition: a staple in my ranged deck that doesn't get talked about much is the Wolverine 6K. No high mounts, but you can put 3ERLL in the right arm and side-poke for days. 10% range, - 10% laser duration, - 10% heat gen - - just sick quirks for an ERLL platform.

BLR-1G, BLR-1G, WLR-6K, ASN-21/CDA-2B.

I assume you are running an XL engine in that WLR-6K ?

Yes, I tend to run XL in ranged builds. The WLR is pretty tough to kill regardless.

Yeonne Greene, You mentioned a BNC-3S Gauss vomit build, do you have a smurfy build for that I could reference?

Remember, the Banshee has low mounts. Corner poke with it, but don't ridge-hump.

The RFL-5D ERLL boat is probably obsolete, now, since all RFLs get 10% range on their energy weapons. I'd suggest using the RFL-3C for that, since you can shove all of the ERLL into the torso, strip an arm, and use a 280 engine to reposition better (or stay with a smaller one to get a bigger TC in.

Like this.
