Granted I have a small stable, but right now it's the Mauler R® with its 4xAC2. Too bad with its constant DPS, it can't twist worth a damn cuz you're so tempted to just facetank and keep firing.

Interesting question.

Before Civil War tech landed, I'd run the Wolfhound WLF-2 near-stock. STD-210, 12 DHS, ERLL+4ML. Compared to stock it only adds Endo+Ferro and squeezes in a couple more DHS. It'd still be an OK 'mech today run bone-stock, though I prefer a bigger LFE.

For hypothetical Level-1 stock matches, I think the Centurion 9A would be great. Low-heat weapons with AC/10 + LRM10 and 2xML, and for a tabletop stock 'mech it has unusually good amount of ammo, with 2 tons for both the AC and the LRM.

It comes stock with 6 ERLL? That's surprising...

I'm running Quarantine, the Wolverine hero, at nearly stock. I dropped some dead-side arm armor and a half ton of ammo to get more JJs, but have otherwise left it alone.

I only ever played my CPLT-C1(F), some sort of DRG in Beta & a handful of (I) 'mechs stock.

From what I remember, the ADR-Prime was the best performer.

2 ERPPC, TC MkIII, 11 DHS, Flamer.

Pretty well optimised, for a stock loadout.

I don't think I've ever used a purely stock mech since the open beta days when all trial mechs were 3025 TT stock builds.

Does a "superstock" Adder Prime with TC swapped for DHS count?

Wat.

Does the job, pure Stock.

Stock mechs are traditionally locked, so no you can't swap equipment. In a Stock mech battle the Server locks Mechlab and the mechs are default load-outs.

Yep, which is why it has that -5% CERLL duration quirk.

The Stormcrow Prime, Huntsman Bravo, Nova Cat Bravo, and Mad Cat MK II-1 all have phenomenal stock loadouts. The first is practically the old lazvom meta fit. ERMLas backed by a couple ERLLas. Point and puke at its finest.

The Huntsman Bravo is surprisingly capable of cracking armor then chewing internals up. For a bracket build, it isn't bad at all, and is well designed with near max armor, a hot arm and a cold arm. Allows you to always have something you can throw at the enemy.

Actually, the Alpha fit of the Huntsman isn't bad at all, either, with 2x LPLas, an LRM10, and an LB2X. Sure, the LB2X is a bit wasted, but two easy to aim LPLas allow a fair degree of poke.

Nova Cat Bravo is just about damned near perfect for lurmageddon. Some minor alterations might be warranted to optimize it, but you could leave it as is and be perfectly fine. 90 LRM and it still manages back up weapons, in addition to ample ammo supplies.

Finally, the Mad Cat MK II-1 is hard to argue with. Armor is a bit eh, but twin gauss backed by medium lasers is a long time staple of MWO.

I don't think I own a single mech in MWO that isn't absolutely trash stock (In MWO's gameplay system, anyway). Maybe a few of the heroes, but I don't think they count as 'stock.'

My Timber Wolf Prime is close to stock build, except the LRM20s are LRM15s, the Medium Pulse Laser is a Small Pulse Laser, I threw in a Mk. I Targeting Computer, and I maximized the armor and heat sinks. :P

Still does pretty well...unless I'm backing up into a wall because I can't see what's behind me, thank you PGI for no rear-view camera...
