If you already have the KDK-3 for doing 2UAC/10+2UAC/5, would you get the MCII-B for doing the same? It basically boils down to if the arm mounts and JJs are worth it.

Oh, it is definitely happening. PGI put MCII on MC sale a couple of days ago--sure sign of imminent nerf.

MCII is more agile than KDK-3. I will definitely buy one for C-Bills and test it out.

It's a good mech, at least right now.

You have less tonnage, therefore you have to give up engine, however you still have better accel/decel/yaw spd.
And my answer is yes, I'll for sure pick it up for Cbills if the nerf bat doesn't kill the entire line of mechs...
At which time I will fall in line with the other disgruntled mech warriors that have permanently close their wallets...and i've only been around since Feb of 2017.
No more $$$ from me.

then its super nerf bat time
although they may opt to nerf the weapons this time instead of the mech itself
but if thats the case they should unnerf all the other mechs they nerfed because of the weapons

....
Maybe he meant that when you shave the armor on both arms on the Kodiak, then you'll have more space on the 'Mech which is true. You can't do the same thing on the MCII, obviously.
This space can be used to mount a bigger engine

Madcat mkII is great, but why shouldn't it be at 90 tons? The majority of the flak the chassis gets comes from the laser/Gauss deathstrike build. Easy enough to disarm at closer ranges, it's effectiveness revolves primarily around staying out of enemy fire.
It's a good mech and in the right hands, it's fantastic. But then again so are a lot of other mechs from both factions.
It doesn't need a nerf, the desync did that plenty for clan assault agility.
Good lord.
At OP, get it as it provides a good analogue to the Supernova.

they already nerfed the annihilator. it lost its atlas level quirks.
I dont think theyll nerf it again. right now its at the level all 100 tonners should be at IMO.

...Is this a thing you can even actually do? Like, I know it'll fit on the chassis, but won't you be slow, hot, and low on ammo? Isn't the reason nobody runs Quad UAC10 KDK-3s because it's just not a good idea?

Their agility are like heaven and earth though. KDK-3's accel/decel, turn, and twist rates are slower than tortoise.

Ghost heat makes long sustained fire impossible when alphaing all 4 UAC10s. Which is why people fire them 2x2.

10/5 is the best combo and forget the ERML. More ammo/bigger engine. And don't get speed tweak, what a waste of nodes for an Assault

Only thing kodiak really beats it at is holding a chokepoint when it sticks just the top portion above a hill. Given how few maps let you do that well, ill take the MCII's versatility over the niche role the kodiak has which really only works incredibly well on sulfurous (2-3 of those on the right gate will shut down IS attack so quickly).

I'm fully aware, but I'd imagine that's still slow and hot compared to the 2xUAC10 + 2xUAC5. November's build has him going 61 kph (which is pretty much the absolute minimum I'd consider for an Assault if I don't want to get left behind by my team), and even while alternating the pairs, the heat would likely be really substantial. Even with full Heat Gen and Cool Run nodes, 13 DHS likely won't get you very far.
And I say all that, but now I really want to give it a try...
