Just in case, I don't suppose that 325 max engine rating is a typo, and it should be 360? Only, the non-Hero Atlas & King Crabs all come with a 300 rated engine and have a cap of 360, even the ECM capable AS7-D-DC, but the Fafnir is left with a 325.

Cool thing, I like none of the 6 Faction patterns, but people will be happy.

The more important question for me was the cockpit item.

Overall glad to see it, but if that hero's supposed to be based off of Peter Steiner-Davion's later Fafnir, it sure got shafted on missile hardpoints (originally had 10 Rocket Launcher 10s), even if the CT one is impossible without compact gyros or ditching the ECM.

That's a good point. What is the reason for lowering the engine cap? The usual multiplier for assaults is 1.2x.
You massively increased the Annihilator's engine cap and now this. Why?

Yes! Finally, the Fafnir is out. I love how Alex went ahead with the Mechwarrior 4 version of the Fafnir and modernized it. I'm going to get this mech.

My favorite dialogue of the mission is this:
Spectre: It looks like they finished arming those Fafnirs, this is going to be one hell of a fight!
Castle: Watch yourself sir, recovered data indicates those heavy gauss rifles are murderous within 600 meters.
Spectre: Yes, I read that and each of those Fafnirs mounts a pair of those things.

To be fair, the IS got the Roughneck last year and Clans got the Mad Cat Mk II and, to a lesser extent, the Nova Cat, plus they're getting the Piranha this month.

Please tell me there's something wrong with the aspect ratio of that image as it looks like a baby fafnir. All short and stumpy. Its not like you can't do a long torso.......Kingcrab.

FP is 3057, the rest of the game is somewhere before or around 3067 (end of the FedCom Civil War)
