I Got Quads

I filled up the whole counter on my Khorne themed Hellbringer with its 2HLL and 6 ERML. 12 kills and no deaths, forest colony assault mission. I love it when I can get by with no deaths. Had all my guns and heatsinks the entire match, only lost my unarmored arm.
Forest colony's trees work very well with my maxed out ECM, even with my Hellbringer painted blood red with goldish bronze highlights. I loved being able to get oneshots on a few people who would have their back turned or were in mediums with XLs or were trying to torso twist while I just shot the back of their hip.
Fun times, what are your best match scores?

I was generally rather aggressive in this match. If I'm honest, our opponents just weren't all too great, they seemed to want to cap the base more than anything. The first time they had a few mechs in the mid zone but sent a lance and a half worth of assaults to our base, but we went back and helped kill those. I had already racked up some damage and kills trading up front before going back. After we dealt with those capping assaults with me killing a cataphract while moving into position then shooting a highlander in the rear and shutting down we moved back up to the front. We had a bit of a battle up front again but then they sent mechs to the back again. Up front I helped out my team by blasting any mechs that would attack them, one guy even thanked me, at the base I took the spine out of an Archer and the team had fun pummeling an Annihilator.
At this point we realized the enemy wouldn't stop trying to cap and we were down to 1/3 base cap left, so we decided we'd defend, the enemy sent another wave through the G8 gap and we pincered them. I took out a mech and damaged another before getting to the opening of a gap, only to watch an STD engine Cicada get melted down. At this point we split up into a hunting party and a defending party. I was aggressively trying to kill enemies so I went with the hunting party where I racked up my last 5 kills of the match, mostly against fresh enemies near their base cap.
In general I didn't really use anyone as pug armor, most of us just understood how to use cover and make use of high alpha trading builds and we would kill enemies before they would get into range or kill anyone who tried to hurt any of our nearby allies or just plain out trade them.
I didn't watch what the 228 guy was doing, but I was partnered up with an EBJ with ERPPCs in the hunting party. I'd open someone up and he'd finish them off with a shot or two while I was cooling off. Was a pretty nice synergy, killing those enemies faster means we both take less damage and in the end I get to kill enemies longer.
I was rather accurate with my damage, I'd shoot people in the back, I'd beam off XL engine side torsos, I'd open up CTs, I even shot a guy in the rear of the hip while his legs were turned sideways to me while his torso was facing me to avoid having to spend two shots on the guy going through his CT armor. This would explain my 12 kills even with less damage than the other guy.
I really don't know how we managed to lose as many people as we did, we were killing enemies so quickly.
As for my paint, it was definitely scratched, though I spread enough as to not be crippled. I don't really believe in wasting a good mech, so I try to squeeze as much damage and as many kills out of each mech as possible, sometimes this happens and I never die.

Look at the scores. Look at all of them.
Using pug armor when alone is not only smart but it is a go to move I have seen time and time again by really special players such as SharrOwkyn. Shar has a wlr over 12 for good reason. Considering he has no compunction about dropping alone or with a couple of guys, this is truly extraordinary. He can and will win games single handedly.
I wish I could get imagur to work so I could post a match I was in with Cheekiez, McGoat and myself. McGoat and I kicked in 2grand of damage while Cheekiez was over 3. On the other side was B O B (Irish Bob) and on his side he had one guy. It really was the Bob and Cheekiez show with a couple of supporting characters and the rest was pug armor as they seemed incapable of doing anything else.
Lots of times I have pugged and tried to play as if I was dropping with BCMC. It is almost always a mistake. Being conservative however, (due to direct advice from Merci) staying alive and putting out as much damage as I can, has been especially effective.
At the end of the day Dakota did his best to get the win. Despite being saddled with a team that wasn't very helpful.

Thanks for the defense, I kinda wish more people would realize this point of view. Statistically speaking I should really only die for around less than 5% of the game's population or I'm lowering my team's chances of winning. When I started up I'd always jump right in to try and save any poor Joe who got himself into a bad situation, but then I realized that all that did was get both of us killed and that guy in the bad spot deserved what was coming to him for his foolish actions and I hope he learns from his mistakes as I have mine. Once I stopped dying for nothing I started winning matches much more often and my kill ratios flew and I realized that I actually could save average Joe by doing my duty well enough and killing as many enemies as possible so that they can't bring their guns to bear on him.
In the end, none of us really have to even die in a match, I'm not using my team as cover, I'm up front using some rock as cover to aggressively poke people wishing that more of my allies would give me a hand at that instead of balling up 50-100m behind me behind a bigger yet not as aggressively positioned piece of cover.

There are players in Evil who can out do me, Vorteex/Promowar/Palfa/Serial/Loken are all monsters on their own, put a few of us on a team and its hard to lose. We all have our good games, and we all have our bad games.
!~however~!
The list can go on for days, i could have pushed in and yolo'ed in any of these games, done half the damage and lost. I know my shot, i know what i can do, there is no reason to yolo as a solo if you can win by killling everything else before they kill your team.

Not sure who's alt account you are but I dropp with Sharrow about every day and he has no problem pushing up on the front line and doing the same amount of damage. You are not telling me anything i don't know. I have probably even more drops with Cheekiez going back to my learning how FP really works days in ZMOM or BNB. I guess we all have to have a style of game play. I like to lead from the front.

Fair enough and I am certainly not trying to argue with you.
Leading from the front for me is a death sentance as I am just not that good. Not in a pug match. With BCMC I am often up front because it is better to have people shooting me than having them shoot Trade, Merci, or Hobbles.
I also drop against you all the time so I am aware I wasn't telling you anything new (luls I dropped against you guys the other day and managed to squeek out 1500 damage against you and was all proud until you with a similar score typed out you hadn't done well and were just warming up ). My point is more along the lines of adjusting to the team you are on. I also get that there are guys who rack up huge scores from the back and won't neccessarily help their team to actually get the win. Dakota is not one of those guys.
