With the release of the first I.S mech in 3 mech releases, it's most likely going to be a Light because we just got an assault, and there aren't many options due to engine limitations/hardpoints/other mechs doing it better but there is a possibility of them getting un-canon variants like the Assassin/Piranha/Enforcer.

Stinger&Wasp(Either Hardpoint Inflation or Superquirks like 60-100% cdr for the single medium lasers)
Thorn (??????????)
Hornet (superquirks)
Mercury ("fake" Omnimech that comes with masc so why not give it an ability to swap hardpoints)

25 ton
Brigand (Slow but has jumpjets and packs a punch on a variant)
Nexus(Decent looking mech with nice loadouts, I hope it gets quad AMS and the C3I is replaced with 1 ton of armor and 1 ECM)
Raptor (good choice but PGI's reluctant to add I.S Omnis)
Mongoose (Death's knell?)
Sling (Light Mech hunter?)

Firefly (We're tracking a thor, lance leader do you read?!?)
Battle Hawk (3 MPL AMS and 1 missle but super slow)

Venom (Why take a davionwolfnoob when you have this?)

Personally i want the Hermes,Nexus,Hitman, and the Owens.

Hollander with -30% Gauss cooldown quirk and +200% Gauss ammo quirk.

Hornet: 20 tons, jump capable, not unseen, completely different from Locust and possibly Urbie-like quirks.

Cossack wouldn’t be bad, but I’d think it would just turn out to look like a juvenile Javelin...

There is only one IS 25 & 20 tonner so it should be one of those weights IMO.

My favorites are all 25 tonners tbh.
- Brigand, pirate mech, good hardpoints, JJ, possible ecm variant.
- Nexus, Fast, good hardpoints, good mounts & ECM or JJ
- Raptor, first true IS omni, potentially 11 energy & JJ with high mounts

May as well throw in other stuffs like +20 right torso armor, -15% critical hit chance receiving...

How does everyone feel about the Stinger and Wasp getting a medium laser that fires continuously like a tag but deals the same amount of damage as the medium laser when it is using it's duration?

Flea has more them enough variety vs the locust.
Suggested listing:
Base:
1 base/special as varient -17 ( the base)
2 either just -4 base as a heavy weapon model, or -P4(adv tech of the -4 with endo and/or light/ferro and dhs if it all fits for more armor)
3 -20 ( light ppc, ecm and stealth armor stock)
Reinforcement:
1 -P19 (trade mg arrays for armor or ammo) 4b per arm, 1e, 1m (flamer and rocket-10)
2 -P14 with 20 tons mass instead of 15 tons, and Jump jets. Can be done base tech with an extra ton left over.
Hero
1 Fire Ant. 'nuff said

Give me the Hermes and we can call it a day.

But something tells me it'll just be a skinnier firestarter with less lasers and possibly more speed.

Still wouldn't care, I'd buy it fo sho.

(Favorite TT light from battletech base game.)

The -15 could be used too with 2b, 5e instead of the -4 or -14, though I'd keep the -14 for jump jets

Agreed, though its range, high mount, and speed should keep the Hollander out of trouble for most of the fight. Also, the Gauss is on the RT.

I'd really like to see the Hermes.

Stinger/Wasp I'd like to eventually get for MW5:M, but I'm not sure we need them for MWO. Also I'm not sure how likely PGI is to touch them while the legal stuff is ongoing.

Hornet would be hilariously awful in MWO. It's also hilariously awful in TT.

I've seen the light mech poll and hollander was in the lead. I don't see why it would be so popular given all the draw backs of the guass and the fact you have the raven 4x able to mount the guass. RVN-4X Hollyandur

To even do the BZK-F5 sarna states it would have to be a medium mech.The F5 variant, called the Hollander II, is a variant of the Hollander that looks to alleviate the 'Mech's problems by building it on a chassis ten tons heavier than the original, pushing it into the medium weight class.

Stinger and Wasp can GTFO, Locust supremacy!

Being 25 tons is interesting. IS Omnis are novel and interesting. 12x energy weapons on an IS 'Mech is good, novel, and interesting. Being sm0l is good. This game needs more 'Mechs that are good, novel, and interesting. Stinger/Wasp ain't that, they are just nostalgic. I've about had it up to here *motions to chin* with nostalgia 'Mechs that are bad preventing me from spending money I want to spend and preventing my game from being fresh and interesting.

You can see my opinion there in my signature. That said, the Mercury as the first IS omnimech would be a sort of an oddly poetic. There needs to be more 20 and 25 tonners so a Flea and Raptor are probably the most likely. Personally the Raptor is my favourite between those two. It has a profile that will stand out strongly against the other light mechs we currently have, plenty of weapon slots to make use of new ER lasers and LMGs/HMGs, and stealth armour potentially.
