or PGI just threw the clanners a bone, and noted that for the most part, IS pilots were actually OKAY with the tonnage being bumped back up.
plus stats for the two FW Capital invasion events don't lie. we beat the crap out of Clans in scouting both times. prob is it's invasion that actually moves the bar (currently anyways) and Clans still shine there, mostly because IS pugs have this obsession with being utterly complete @#$%ing morons and trying to out-trade Clans. You don't. Clan mechs for the most part do horribly in close (the few good LB20 mechs notwithstanding) which is where IS has the advantage with our better heat capacity. engaging at longer ranges where the Clan's superior cooling efficiency is allowed to occur is what gets the IS's asses kicked.

Distance? Most siege maps (except one) don't have distance. Yep, basicly clans have advantage on distance. That is balanced by more heat. And what do we have? We have mid-close range maps, we have ghost hits on every fart. The only advantage of clan technologies (distance) isn't usable in most cases

Actually... I can think of several FW maps that do have a good range advantage. Boreal Vault, both approaches on Hellebore, open sightlines on Grim Portico once they're inside the gate (not everyone tries to skirt the outside), Beta and Gamma approaches on Sulfurous, Emerald Taiga in a lot of places, list goes on. key really is thinking outside the box here.

Also, notice the polarization on this topic: Clanners love it and claim IS had the advantage, ISers hate it and blame it on things other than balance. Personally, I do better with my Mist Lynx than I ever did with my StreakCrow, but, through extensive experience in scouting, I definitely think that, currently, in a match of equally skilled pilots, IS will crush clans every time. With the change, IS retains that advantage for high-skilled vs high-skilled, but Clan gains the advantage in pug vs pug. I think that is about as good as we will get.
Spheroids...just learn to use your mechs, and learn what mechs to use.

Overall... I do more damage with IS then Clans. Only Pakhet give me games over 900dmg in scouting.
Great dinamic PGI.

Naw, no need.
Only temporary. Just like last time, the new players, casuals, and just here for fun types that you are all so damn worried about will start to cry again about streaks, just like last time, and will end up being changed.
So, sometime after the Lanner is out.

Why change it back?
Scouting dead again.
