IMO the piranha needs more mobility it is also has to small an engine.

I don't have a locust for comparison but I do have a commando which is much more manoeuvrable.

Manoeuvrability is all for a mech like this and it is lacking, it is rare you survive an encounter with another light.

The vision is terrible, the armour is worst than other lights.

It is mostly an ambush mech/leg humper. Stand up brawl should not be its strength. So I do not see agility buffs to be necessary.

That's generally the price you pay for having stupid amounts of hardpoints.

That FOV is brutal, though.

So it is okay for IS to have mechs like that but not clan.

IS don't have that, the locust doesn't even have that many hardpoints in comparison. Let's not try to break a mech that have a actual clear list of strengths and weaknesses.

Locust, which is the IS 20 tonner, has only half as much DPS as that of Piranha. Tradeoffs, bro.

Maybe when the IS get the Raptor, Komodo, Black Hawk-KU or Sagittaire to boat as much energy as Clan.

Until then, let's not...

The only stand-up brawl Light the IS has is the Javelin and that's a squishy missile bomber.

And if you are thinking Locust, boy, let me tell you something...

They dont.

All the LCT's i see in my PIR get their legs chewed just as fast as (actually often faster) anything else.

If i had stats (nothing posted on the webpage for PIR's) i would post them but i'd say i avg 2x the dmg in my PIR then i do in any LCT variant. Maybe 3x....i went on a string of matches the other night with another PIR partner and we threw down 900 and 1000 dmg games back to back to back to back to back.

It needs nothing currently and may even get a nerf to its MG potential. I dont agree with nerfing the mech but i do think Structure nodes in Survival should also boost health of Weapons. This would be an indirect nerf to all Clan MG lights but i think is needed.

I don't mind terribly that MGs tear up internals, however they should do jack against armour.

12 MG PIRs wouldn't be so terrifying if they needed to bring SRMs or lasers to take out armour before going after internals.

LMG are the only ones that do nothing against armor. But my PIR brings 3 Hvy Meds (30 dmg) to peel armor off before i get that juicy 24-18dps on internals.

They kind of already do this, if you are just bringing MG's then you will need a few friends to crack those candy shells and let you get to the gooey centers.

14 skill points so far on my new locust, and it's already better than any of my piranha's no matter how many weapon points it has.

More agility would just mean turning sharper into the leg of the atlas you didn't even know was beside you because you couldn't see him.

Just goes to show how bad the vision on the piranha is.
