Yeah there was not really much twisting going on in that archaic video.
Plus chain-firing lasers lol...
I mean come on. That is basically an example of what NOT to do.
Chain firing lasers allows them to be fired regardless, otherwise I'd only be able to fire once every 4 seconds, which would leave me open to attack and allow him to twist in order to mitigate damage from his CT. Like this, if he twists back to face me he gets shot even after I shoot. The other thing is to be able to run in a hot environment without any risk of shutting down, a very important factor when Leading A CHARGE.
You do know how play, right?
Have you ever led a charge before?
I take it you like to shut down in front of enemies in the middle of one if you have led a charge firing all lasers at once, in the face of ghost heat, on the hottest map in the game, using STANDARD HEATSINKS.
Or did you not pay attention to the heatsink display in the upper right?
You could pretend you know something about the game before speaking. Also he twists not once, not twice, but three times in a piss poor attempt to defend himself, where if he just fired and fired and fired I would have died. Its his twisting that was the subject of discussion, as would be the twisting of any would be victim. Not mine. I don't need to twist, I need to kill the other guy.
He one) Did not see a heatsink display showing I'm carrying 42 heatsinks... clearly single heatsinks.
two) Made a statement about not firing all lasers. Laser limit is 2 at the time of the video, and punishment would be in the ER Large Laser department. Basically fire once and shut down immediately. The game actually punished you back then. Now its a slap on the wrist.
Three) Not able to see the Tactical element in firing lasers back to back as opposed to all at once, the phrase "throwing your eggs into one basket" comes to mind.
Four) It is during a charge, where the person leading needs to be able to dynamically engage enemies as the situation changes; being unable to fire for 4 seconds could mean the difference between a charge succeeding and failing. This is why I'm able to kill the first guy and immediately threaten the second guy whom then throws his shot off in a defensive reaction to try and twist. A shot that could have killed me or someone else and changed the entire outcome of that scenario.
Watching those vids seems fun but still im lead to think that those are only THE one match every 20 (or more) that got somewhat usefull results... thanks to isengrimm

It is probably closer to 1 in 50, or maybe even 1 in 100.
Afterall, I can't recall him ever posting a video from since the seasonal leaderboards started, and he only has a bit over 1000 battles on that.

as mentioned, 14 hours from now is bad timing, i'll see you in 38.
Mkay. Sorry thought you said 14 hours from now is okay.
"dunno what day it is over there, but anytime after 14 hours from now"
Tomorrow at around this time should be good, then.
Could science some 1v1 builds in preparation for Solaris. Provided a close arena situation, that build has all the power it needs to make a kill. Even if you go by legging first then CT. Now it probably won't succeed higher than 75 tons for an opponent. But still, basically all you need to make a kill is 33 damage. With quirks and skill tree that's still less than 45 damage to make a kill.
I know with just twin LBX-5s, I killed a 4 AC/5 King Crab that had otherwise slaughtered my quick play builds again and again (as you can't engage a 4 AC/5 head on and in 1 versus 1 there are no distractions). It took some time and effort, I got the drop on him (literally) and stood on top of him shooting into his CT. In another run I snuck up from the side and the damage I was able to do while he turned was enough to give me the winning lead. (Both of these were as the Crab hero two months ago) But again, that relied on crafiness and the level, it wouldn't stand a chance against that build in a direct arena fight.

Check my profile. Should still mention the newborn.
I got a family that started then.

I stopped playing seriously when I met my wife in December 2015. Around the same time my videos dwindled in frequency.
And I don't have as much time to play... plus better games to play. Most legendary founders (or people that had played since closed beta) either dropped the game entirely or dropped their play of the game to infrequent at best due to how poorly PGI has handled this game in those years (the 2015/2016). Everyone in Zhizhu mercs dropped it in 2016 which is why there hasn't been any more group play videos. By then the game was a clusterduck.
Yes PGI has improved, but honestly I spend at least 2 hours debating how the game could have been better for every half hour I actually play it. Barely got two people to come back and give it another chance and yes they are having fun again but.. we grew up and got lives. Plus Star Citizen. Yeah that eats up pretty much a good chunk of time.

You've never played comp, you deliberately tank your stats to run the worst builds you can think of and still don't do any good.
Then to advocate chainfiring (ie, spreading rather than focusing) and think you need to chainfire while at the front of a push rather than alpha/insta twisting...
The person who knows how to play is most certainly not you. MWOs new players will actually benefit more if you do not give them horrid advice. None in this instance is better than something bad.

well, i just did 100 damage in the last 4 games i played so don't get your hopes up. ping me whenever.
EDIT: not really whenever, more like the day after.
Just lemme know tomorrow.
One versus one videos are fun to do. Got some fun ones already that I need to upload and release soon (including a Dragon versus a 1v1 Mad Dog build. I won... he didn't have sufficient ammunition to beat me in a no HUD fight, no quirk, no tree fight. He even had the drop on me as I was caught completely by surprise and it took over 40 seconds to figure out where he was. (No HUD will do that) I love fighting without HUDs; the game actually looks good without it. We'll play with the HUD on [and off if you like; its damn fun])
Now track back to the season where I actually played seriously in 2015 You know, when I didn't tank my stats. Or at least 2016.
I barely played this season.
This is like comparing someone who played 1 match to someone whom played 900.
Today's game is basically point and click adventures. One shot, one kill. Who clicks first wins.
Yeah, see I grew up in a game where that got you killed.
Also I'm not playing with friends. You undoubtedly are. Plus from what I hear tier 1 players get paired with bad players on their team... when they go up against top players... whom also complain about bad players on their team... as there aren't enough tier 1 players playing so they get tiers 2, 3, and from what I understand often tiers 4 and 5 to help you pad your stats. But that's okay, I won't tell anyone you pick on the potatoes.

If it is so easy now, why can't you score even average stats?

I play 100% solo.

My Win/Loss might be bleh, but we can't control how matches go back with 4 man groups.
Not saying I was a top player or anything, I've always run builds that people consider heretical. Such as the 2 ML, 7 SPL HBK 4P, or the twin PPC, twin SRM-4 HBK 4SP, or this build.

So another archaic video showing a shutdown because of poor heat management.
Poor heat management with a trial mech, no skill tree, hot map, hottest part of map, and FIRING ALL AT ONCE LIKE YOU SAID TO DO...
And then I chain fired to pull through, because I know better than to listen to the guys that want me to fail so that they can inflate their stats. Like you. But you're not worth another word. Get good, fight me in our chain of 1v1's tomorrow, and you can settle it there. If you win, well by your stats you should so there's no incentive other than to say you're right. If I win, I want a Blood ASP or Fafnir. Unlike me, I'm sure you got money.
Screenshot is needed, for all I know you are faking those.
Its copy/pasted right from the page. But whatever. Btw is the EXP just like mech XP or it something else entirely?
Also: the "you are" stuff without the quote is aimed at mr. top 49 over there, not you. But someone cut a message in before I posted it so it didn't connect.
