The high costs are R&D. This could be a SLDF-era mech, but the document makes it look like they are reverse-engineering ClanTech.

Since PGI has been releasing MW4 Mechs recently, I think the Chimera is likely the best bet, as mentioned above.

The Chimera isn't reverse-engineered though.

I know less about IS tech than Clans, does anyone know of an IS Mech that fits this?

Blackjack and Firestarter, in the current time frame.

Unrelated...

Assuming its centered, that's the space the company name can take up. That's not even enough room for Defense - Apparently PGI is contracting with Dense Industries.

I'm saying I'm 100% certain this document has been butchered to be mysterious for the sake of mysterious, with no hints or serious input.

The C-Bill did not exist during the Star League era, so we can automatically discount that anyway.

Isn't the next 'Mech announcement supposed to be Clan, anyway?

Blackhawk KU? An IS design based on a reverse-engineered Clan omni.

Problem is, most of the IS Omnimechs derived from Clan Omnimechs were developed by the Luthien Armor Works. That would be a pretty obvious giveaway, since that's basically all they did.

Found on the Mechwarrior Online Twitter. Clearly leaked by Blakists within PGI's ranks..

So why does the blurred letterhead in the top corner look like a penis ?

My initial thoughts were the Blackhawk KU, Sunder (based on the Hellbringer and Summoner), and the Avatar (based on the Mad Dog), but the manufacturer doesn't match up

It's clearly a Battlemech and not an Omnimech, based at least on the text. Rakshasa?

More like fingers getting ready to enter the lady parts.

Technically speaking, all Omnimechs are Battlemechs. So I wouldn't read too much into the the use of the term.

if thats the case it could be the archangel, thats 9 letters and also a free world defense industries mech

there are no 10 letter mechs built by free worlds defense industries anyway

theres the buccaneer and archangel

the archangel is the only one of those thats interesting since it would mean IS omnimechs

but the archangel has some tech thats not in the game like plasma rifle

Both of those are 9 letter mechs.

EDIT: Ah, you meant no 10 letter mechs by them.

There are a lot of people hell bent on this being the Free Worlds Defense Industries, the size of the letterhead be damned. I really hope you're wrong, and I see no compelling reason why you'd be right.
