im hoping, what ever it is adds something new,
whether it be a new Mech Type(IS-OmniMechs) new tech(Celestial Class, SmallCockpits)
something to have fun with and add alittle more to MWO as a game,

Judging by Reddit, it might aswell be the Flea.

Please PGI, let it be so. I patiently waiting for that mech to finally be added. Just as much as others wait for the Wasp, Blood Asp, Fire Moth, Longbow and so on and so forth. All them is potential goldmines. If not for gameplay, then nostalgia and& or lore. If not for the latter then the former.

Beef them mothers up, because they'll be bottom of the barrel picks.

Give them some Vindicator level quirks tailored to the strengths of their hardpoints. None of this 15% cooldown on a single CT Missile hard point. None of that PGI! Or 25% MG rate of fire when they only have 2 ballistic points!

Few things that came up...

Celestials? Only the Deva, please, at least it's not complete garbage for MWO.

Defiance? One of many, many IS 75 tonners I would love!

Onslaught? The original uses tech we already have, though Light ACs & X-Pulse Lasers would be nice. Plus, it's a solaris 'mech.

Hellfire? One of the Heavy Laser testbed 'mechs, plus another 60 tonner, plus it has MASC, plus it's a BattleMech? Yup!

Personally hoping for IS OmniMechs (Raptor / Men Shen / Black Hawk-KU / Templar), though the Blood Asp seems more likely.

but they do need to import the union dropship from MW5 into a new gamemode for MWO

dropship defense mode would be something different from skirmish at least

12 pages surprises me considering most people just dont care anymore. its a complete tossup whether any new mech will actually be good. And no one wants to buy a mechpack. Especially not after so many people got burnt on the piranha thinking it would be something its not.

if PGI wants to generate excitement for new mechs, the only thing they could add at this point that would achieve that, would be quads. because they would be radically different from bipedal mechs in their ability to accelerate uniformly in any direction and have 360 torso rotation.

and since the game is mech-centric I cant ever see us having pilotable battlearmor, aerofighters, or vehicles. maybe as npcs in certain gamemodes.

Well if both hints are for the Blood Asp then the doc could refer to a weapon that is Apocryphal which would be the Plasma PPC. However I really can't see that happening as any Mechwarrior/Battletech fan wouldn't want something from the Mechassault Game.

If their both are separate hints maybe we are in for a double drop and one is a mech they have had on hold for awhile and just couldn't release it yet.

ok ok i got it, invasion(siege mode) one side is the base, the other side a union drop ship,
mechs fight as per normal invasion(siege mode) but creeps(tanks) spawn from both sides and fight as well?
you now win by getting your tanks to the other side as only your tanks can damage the cannon/drop ship?

why would people care? its a complete tossup whether any new mech will actually be good. And no one wants to buy a mechpack.

A proper Union class with Civil war tech should make short work of the Red team...

As you can see the MW4 drop-ships were really dumbed down for that game....

All signs from this document point to an IS mech, unless this is supposed to be some intelligence report intercepted by IS forces detailing a Clan mech, but I highly doubt that level of subterfuge..

ya following the release model with sees to be 2IS then 2Clan then 2IS(and so on)
the next is looking like it will be an IS mech, but the question is which one,

the top on your lists are the Hollander(35Ton), Dervish(55Ton), Crusader(65Ton), Marauder II(100Ton),
but none of those really match the xxxxxxxNSE INDUSTRIES, is their anything on your list that does Gas?

i dont think so, everything points to the next mech being a IS mechs, even how they release mechs 2 then 2,
i think its more likely Chris Matt misspoke, or perhaps what he said isnt what we think he ment,

ill tweet him for clarification, on what was ment,
