Because it IS a game, and we have real lives, with real families, real jobs, and real responsibilities, and just want to sit down, play some matches, and unwind. Chasing stats and bragging rights is pretty low on the priority list.

I think your reading way to much into what it takes to "git gud"

During the usual course of pre, mid, and post match BS'ing that most teams do, knowledge seeps into you through osmosis. The only thing you need to do is be exposed to the knowledge, and attempt to implement it in game.

And don't be afraid to ask questions when you don't "get" why something works or doesn't work. Some of the best stuff takes a leap of faith to see it's value.

Ok, let me rephrase, as my joke seems to have come off incorrectly as being devisive.

You can teach yourself how to play at a level that is competative in this mode, OR, you can be in a group that will point out your misteps in realtime with a 2 word sentence.

Think about it. 2 word sentence and instant improvement,

or

Countless punishing losses before even realizing somethings wrong, followed by countless punishing losses as you strive to figure out the best way to correct the wrong.

Both of those processes repeat for every aspect of the game every month or 2 as meta changes. Which sounds better?

Look, as a unit, we have a win record that shows exactly how we play. We will brawl push every map, mode and opponent. We forget caps in conquest and lose to Skittles sometimes, but its fine if giant robots exploded. We end siege attacks that we are down on, not with a gen push but a "ball up, kill as many as we can and go out like ballers" call. Is what it is. Thing is, I never comment if the other team wins by a method I don't use. I just admit we weren't good enough to win our way that match, tell people to let it go and queue up again. No point dwelling on it. This argument is the same as me saying don't cap conquest, or stay out of circle cause we pushed slow *** robots too far and someone back capped the circle or yelling at a team for sniping on polar when we just want to onion brawl. It was our fault being too into explosions, you know? So let the topic of how others play die, and just learn to enjoy what you enjoy with your buddies. Game gets more fun that way.

I'll leave this here and add on stop the epeen stuff; Damn, r e l a x. Also, both ill captain and ragnar are fun to play against so stop trying to make me choose sides. Also, also, this topic is super lame, let's get back to FP 1 faction on faction forum wars. Play style is dull.

There's only a few reasons to do objectives in FW:

1. The other team sets a gun line and wants you to come walk into it while leaving their gens undefended. Burn that **** down and laugh at them, they deserve to lose.

2. You borked wave 1 or 2 and are not sure you can win on kills.

3. You want to stack wins to get a meaningless tag on a meaningless map and a few cents of MC per member of your unit spread out over a month, totaling less than you'd get from a single grab bag in an event.

4. Mining salt.

There's not really anyone in FW who doesn't understand how it works so I'm not sure what the point is. If you're on defense you need to defend your objectives. If you're not, you deserve to lose because you're incompetent. If you're defending your objectives and still get rushed down, well, adapt or accept that sometimes you'll lose to objective rushes. If you're attacking, keep in mind your priorities to keep your peeps happy and playing: HAVE FUN > GET PAID > WIN. The real objective in any match is 'make sure your team is having fun so they queue for another match'. Everything else is gravy.

Im gonna be totally real here. If you lose to gen rushers YOU deserve to LOSE and be laughed at. Because you couldn't be bothered stand in front of a ****** box with a tiny hole in the middle.

If you try to gen rush and LOSE, YOU deserve to loose and be laughed at because you couldn't be bothered to properly execute your EVIL plan to ignore 12 human beings shooting at you and throw your shots on said ****** box.

Incursion tho, incursion is utterly broken in a mode with respawns and should be removed from FP at the next available opportunity.
