Has it been forgotten? Or did it just swing by so fast under ECM that we missed it?

I'd like to say I'm just bitter about the Uziel. But really I'm just too broke and MWO mechs are low priority on the entertainment budget. I'd rather spend the money on Into the Breach. Turn based strategy game where you fight kaijus with mechs and other things. From the creators that made FTL. Due out on the 27th. No price tag yet. But I'd rather spend on that then more nostalgia mechs with ill thought out quirks.

I mean everyone hates on the Uziel, but I actually have a lot of fun with the 4 ER ML Gauss build. Its just super agile which is a refreshing change from so many mechs in the game. And yeah it falls apart if you try to poke before the rest of your team engages, which can be annoying in the solo queue sometimes.

I kind of like the Thanatos too, as ridiculous as that sounds. Theres a PPFLDakka build and a ML/MRM build that seem to perform well enough, and don't bring about a hate storm like the Nightstar does lol. Hellspawn looks completely uninspiring though.

It seems silly. But I like the Uziel with 3xUAC2s. It's totally derp since you have to run an undersized XL on a mech with massive shoulders. But it can still be a lot of fun.

Hmm that could be fun, the durability isn't as bad when you can stay 800m away.

Separation is definitely your friend in the Uziel. Which I guess is why they gave it 10% range quirk across the board.

No countdown. Didnt the same thing happen to the Piranha aswell? And that one, I bet sold very well.
So my guess is that if it sells well or not, have nothing to do with the countdown appearing. More likely, PGI are busy with preparations for Solaris 7 etc.

That said I don't begrudge anyone their pet mechs. And to anyone that bought it, I hope it lives up to what you are expecting and that you play it for more than two weeks.

On a side note, if it actually turns out to be the next go to medium for the Clans, I'm willing to admit I was wrong about it.

My issue with fast mechs, is I get to the point where I can engage, and can't stand waiting for the jabronis in their assaults mech to waddle into position, since they like to take 5 steps, stop and pick their nose, take another 5 steps, go and grab a drink of water, take another 5 steps, stop to type that they are being left behind, take another 5 steps, stop and yell at everyone because they are getting shot in the back, ad nauseum.

Its like, I'm an assault pilot primarily, and I don't understand how the **** it takes them so long to do anything.

But I digress, as long as I am patient enough for the fight to start, and the fight actually starts at all (as opposed to people just getting picked off one by one for whatever reason) I'm sure this thing will be a lot of fun.
