so my understanding is that you wont be supporting 32 bit MS OS systems. Does that mean since i have a 32 it system, I have to go out and buy a new computer, just so I can play MWO and use the money that I have put into it?

A lot of computers meant for casual users are sold with 32-bit versions of Windows preinstalled and/or a 32-bit install disc bundled, yes. Largely because their initial configurations are quite limited and the users are not expected to upgrade them beyond those.

However, to the best of my knowledge, the license keys for Windows 7 and up (I am not sure about Vista) work for both 32-bit and 64-bit install media: all you'd have to do is get a copy of the 64-bit setup disc (which I seem to recall hearing can be downloaded from Microsoft's website) for your Windows version, backup your data, install the 64-bit version and enter your current license key.

Pretty much any machine new enough to run MWO will have a 64-bit CPU.
It's just a matter of installing a 64-bit version of Windows.

Factorio stopped supporting 32-bit about 10 months ago.
I was past due for an upgrade anyway, though.

Check if your hardware is 64-bit compatible, I would assume with almost 100% certainty that it is, if you are currently able to run MWO.

Also, what is your OS? I am pretty sure that upgrading to 64-bit with Win7 or 10 comes at no additional charge.

I can understand that re-installing the OS may be unwanted hassle, but the overall performance improvements are quite worth it, IMO.

If you require a 32-bit OS for whatever reason, dual boot or even a Virtual Machine are real options out there... just sayin'.

Faction Play Changes
Faction Play as a whole is currently in the early stages of a thorough review, while Solaris 7 is nearing its release in April. It was important for us that Faction Play run smoothly during this time frame, therefore we have made a list of changes that will help remove the points of friction to the player experience

Thank you for the new road map and looking forward to the faction play review. I would really like to see some prime time match time for conquest matches. Worlds conquered by your unit should not be lost by some other units in the next time frame. Income from conquered planets should not only get to the unit with the most points but get split to each contributing unit with a 5% threashold.
24/7 Faction play still could be offered in a game mode that supplements the prime time games where units can conquer planets.
There is so much space to improve what I think should be the end game content of MWO.

Changing to the Overwatch Loot Box system, hmmmm... reading posts on the web about the Overwatch Loot Box system players are not pleased with that system either.

Let's not trade one system that needs upgrades for another system that needs upgrades.

Don't know how the Overwatch crate items work really, if you can just buy all of them with in-game currency. Because that is what you will be mostly getting in MWO - c-bill purchasable items, courtesy of RNG. If you got extra c-bills here and there from matches, that would mostly be the same. I suppose that there will be ultra rare lewt such as 100MC and other goodies too, in 1 out of say 15 crates. Still not something you couldn't live and play without. So I'd say there will be a difference, still.

This is the internet, no one is ever pleased about anything.

I rarely post here, but felt compelled after reading the roadmap.

I am sad to see my supply caches sold. Why not have key earning events? Some would say you already had these types of events.

My point is during one of those previous events I might have earned 12 keys, but by the end of the event I would have 14 new caches (rewards consisted of both keys and caches). Here is where, in my opinion, less would have been better.

I used to open caches, but got frustrated. Why would I want to spend real money on a Rare Arm? What the _ am I going to do with a Rare Arm?? Sell it for C-Bills? I don't need to pay real money for C-Bills. I would much rather earn C-Bills in the battle zone.

I kept hoping for a Key event (by the way there still is time). Even a mass unlocking of caches before switching to the system would be better. Selling them off is such a letdown, after all, I did earn them through my game play.

I would also like to see a KEY event before my caches get sold from under me.

If people don't want to "lose" their caches (the ones they haven't bothered to open yet), then buy some keys for MC. Otherwise, what's the problem, if you weren't going to open them anyway?

Shell out or sell out. Also, you did not earn the caches, they are a RNG reward.

Can somebody dumb this down for me? I dont understand what this means. What

The Shadowhawk, for example, has no geo for a RAC weapon. It simply uses the geo of the UAC instead. These will be updated. At least to my understanding.

The civil war tech came out after several mechs were released. This means those mechs didn't have geometry for the new weapons. For example, clan ATM launchers would revert to using the LRM launcher models.

As time goes on, they are updating the older mechs to "retro-fit" the weapons. There is no functional change, only visual.
