Sweet!
More mechs for you to nerf in the coming months!
I'll take the lot!!

No.

How do you nerf these mechs that are already worse than what we already have available for CB?

hm.

really like the urbie.
the mad-dog looks good, hardpoint-wise.

really not impressed with the rest, sorry.

pls consider spicing them up*, then I'll consider buying them :)

*and with that I mean no powercreep - but pls offer something different. I see no point in having basically a stock-loadout atlas with a nice paintjob.. as suggested elsewhere, ballistic left&right would be nice. a headlaser(eye!) would be awesome.
the reverse-ember is kinda boring; the griffin.. eh.. and so on.
all nice mechs to look at, but nothing says "play this, and it's gonna be the same old chassis but in a new and interesting way".

Lol, you are fine representative of the general saltiness that we call the MWO community.

Scarabus (light), Hatchetman (medium), Axman (heavy) and Berserker (assault) would be an excellent Solaris pack*. Oh well, maybe in Solaris 2.0?

*with melee, of course.

I highly doubt that Piranha will develop completely new chassis and then release it for $30, they'd release them one at a time at $20/$40 packs then maybe in a year package them with new skins and get $30 for 7 of them.

7 hero mechs for US$30, that's an amazing deal!

I do want to know though, if there are any or going to be any pre-order bonuses? Or, what's the difference going to be between a pre-order and a standard purchase?

Hero only packs have NEVER gotten early adopter bonuses like regular mech packs do. Also they've never announced quirks until a few days before the patch the new packs arrives in.

Vukture with ct hardpoints ala this?

https://youtu.be/vZWxgLQZano?t=217

YES please! I would prefer a new Mad Dog Vulture mk II config variant lineup with minimal arm hardpoints but more ct hardpoints and a little more st hardpoints to compensate. But this is great! Might not be a 2 x energy ct turret sharing aiming reticule with the arms. But thats forgiven. Would love to see 2 x ballistics even. Cram in two x MG of any kind OR 2 x UAC 2 for the lols. Posted Image

Thanks to the shadow cat we got that have left st missile hardpoint to. We can now roleplay the Dresani lance shown in this video, WHOOO!

Im also excited for the Firestorm, its exactly what I wanted from the ember, but had to do with what it got. Now I imagine 4 x HMG and possibly 4 x MPL on the Firestorm.

The Banshee is also one I really looking forward too! Ill add max JJ for the sake of it, put on a Heavy PPC, 2 x LBX 10 and go to town.

Nice bonuses too, even though no banked/ active premium time. Heroes with CB boost to compensate and that high value/ low price is good enough for me though.

Its 7 mechs with CB boost to replace ones that we basically can already get.....

I've just done a slight comparison with existing mechs and aside from ther CB boosts (and the urbie with a 210 engine max) there is nothing worth getting from this pack.

Atlas Kraken.
Its a AS7-K but with downrated CT weapons.

Griffin ARES
Its a GRF-1S but with a different load out to begin with and the energy are split between the two arms.
Rifleman. Its a LK with a 3N loadout...

Urbie. R60/63 but with bigger engine cap.

Firestarter. Its an Ember with 2E moved to the CT

Banshee. Its a La Malinche with JJ

The only real special is the MDD, because none of the others can match it for E and M capacity. And with 2 of those E points being CT based, i thought it would limit you, and it does, to only 1 slot Energy weapons in those positions.

While I'm looking forward to a different mode etc, unless your after CB boost, there's no point getting the pack at all.

Now why couldnt they have added some of these babies, and given us something that both looks different and has no requirement to have more than 1 variant to master it (the way we used to).

They will be like all other Hero 'Mechs currently in-game. They can be used in quick play and will have their own unique Division rating assigned to them to be used in Solaris.

Its a Solaris pack as each of these 'Mechs are based on Solaris fighters from the fiction. Those who have read "Warrior: En Garde" and "Illusions of Victory might know them well already Posted Image

Does this mean when the griffin dies, it gets flames pouring out the cockpit canopy from a failed ejection mechanism.......
RIP Armstrong.
Didnt think there was anything special about Billy Wolfsons or Philip Capet's Rifleman....

Stands for "Capellan Mafia", see http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Philip_Capet and check the paragraph about Solaris VII.
That is the reason why the GRF, RFL, UM, and FS9 have the "CM" on them.

I was trying to work out the urbie connection, then remembered, PC tried to ambush JZA in their final fight by bringing an Urbie and a firestarter to the floor.

Jumpjets on a 90 tonner are pointless. Too weak to be worth 6 tons.

Purchased the pack, because at $30 for 7 c-bill boosted 'mechs it's quite the deal, but I do have one concern about the Banshee.

Recent changes to the geometry of the Orion-IIC to support the hero model with a ballistic there left the right arm looking strange on all variants that only had one energy there, because it had moved from being a laser on the end of the arm to sitting in the crook of the elbow, leaving this odd flat black space. The Banshee-3S currently removes the hand and puts a cool looking PPC there, which fits great. I'm worried that the Siren will result in a re-rigging that puts the -3S's PPC next to the arm, leaving another flat black cap that doesn't look as cool. Can we please retain the cool geometry of yesteryear for other variants of the chassis while putting together these new heroes?

4 med 4 machine gun firestarter also good. (same as ember ?)

Banshee with JJ's, interesting.

Need to know the Quirks on the Atlas.

Im not a fan of rifleman,

The Griffin, I dont think it can compare to 2n and 3m builds.

Oh shet, I didn't notice JJs on Banshee. That's...that's, is that even a good thing? Assaults can barely get off the ground with JJs.

Sure, you can sell the JJs to help pay a fraction of the cost to convert ISXL to LFE.
