Already bought mine, $50 at the time, but it got me access to the closed beta, that alone was worth it! Posted Image

I can't properly describe how I feel about this without violating CoC decency rules.

Are there any links that give info about the campaign structure and length? A quick google search didn't give me a definitive answer. Is it similar to Mechwarrior 1 where its mostly random money making contracts and some story missions to progress, or more like dawn of war where it's mostly story missions with some random side missions for variety? I missed out on the kickstarter but since it's region priced for my location I can actually think about buying it at release (I normaly wait for at least a 25% sale before buying anything).

There will be story missions and 'random' missions. You can do either of those at your leisure.

Campaign will be mix of story missions and generated mercenary missions. You will manage your ship (your base), mechs and equipment and mechwarriors. Between missions there will be sort of text roleplay events, caused by recent developments or/and crew background.
Here is playlist of HBS Q&A.

I think october episode was about campaign.

P.S. Forum cuts the playlist link to be a single video. Just go to NGNG channel, switch to playlists, and select "BattleTech Q&A"

Same price. It's just a scheme to get people to pay up before reviews are in.

For some stupid reason people beg for it when it's not present.

sometimes yes, most of the times no. in this case no.

just wait till steam sale, battletech won't be on summer sale, tho.

also

stop preordering games before reviews. haven't you learn from various AAA letdowns in the past?
more of a general note towards preordering when there is no alpha/beta/stresstest version to have a look into the game in question

So what does the "basics:combat" mean? Are they doing what PGI did where they first released an endless combat system with no meaning, no economy, no strategic faction warfare, and we had to wait a very long time for the rest to get filled in?

That was the skirmish beta game, that became the multi-player beta..

This going to be the full game, story with open ended game after story is completed.

Three part YouTube seriers. This one had 'commentary' on combat. Next one will 'Basics: Economy' or something.

Depends. Some preorders can be discounted, others can have bonus content.
Battletech game seem to have no discount on preorder, but bonus Shadow Hawk skin (useless, IMO). There is no much reason to preorder it, only if you sure you will buy the game anyway. If you like XCOM games, or Battletech universe - choice was obvious. (Though i will not preorder MW5, i will wait and see what comes of it)
If you not sure about it, Q&A series can help you decide.

Yeah, I'll buy anyway, dont want a BT game to flop. Just see no point in preordering without a discount.

Brace for April 2018!
This will be the end of MWO as we know it ...
It will drain many people from this game, at least for some time.
