I really wish you go back to that for (L)mechs, be part of something rather than have them be their own separate thing each.

Yeah, no crashes since I switched MWO to Steam, but I do get a bug sometimes where I can't see my piolot name in a group or click ready, even though the other people in the group see me on the list; this is fixed by logging out of the game and logging back in. I am almost certain that this bug is Steam-specific since none of the people I know who use the PGI launcher seem to have this issue. I actually reported this issue a few patches ago, but it persists.

The mobility of the Firestarter compensates. 'Mechs have advantages and disadvantages to use. If all had the same attributes, (e.g. pitch angle, torso twist angle, hard points, armor) then it would not make much sense to have such a diversity of them, would it?
lol... No it doesn't.
The Firestarter as some of the worst numbers for it's class of mech. Not to mention it's size since rescale. It's a light mech that is the size of a Med with the mobilty of a Heavy.
Ain't starting no fires with that.

Running the roughneck with (LE 300) UAC10, 2X MRM10'S, 2X LMG'S and two SPL. It's for decent DPS and poking ability and can open up on exposed components quite well.
The sun spider, now that's a beautifully ugly mech in a good way (think group b rally car) great shape to it and I needn't of worried about it looking too small. Using UAC10 again with LBX5, ERPPC and two srm2's.

The word Fast should never be used in the same sentence as Highlander...W/O a qualifying term between them.
Example The Highlander IS NOT fast....if you want a fast mech DON'T buy a Highlander.
330 engine in a heavy metal will give you some pretty good speed.
Skip to 7 mins. Maybe 7 mins 21 seconds.
But yes I know what you mean.

And the game (QP at least) is more balanced with more diverse options for both mech loadouts and tactics than ever. The current "meta" is almost no meta, and the mid range preference puts mechs close enough that brawling is often possible as well. Long range sniping and LRMing are still options but almost never dominate a match.
Overall, the game is better than it was a year ago, so gotta say, "good job PGI".

Probably will be testing and re-configuring those among the good news that CW no longer harbors penalties while switching loyalties.
Thanks, this was a good patch so far, I hope we have more like these in the future.

The Sun Spider needs serious ST quirks do to it's torso profile.

My only complaint about the Sun Spider as a whole is that when you use the 2 Ballistic mount side torsos the RT's first weapon goes into the lower mount and the LT's goes into the higher mount. Is that intentional?

Hey guys... I'm guessing it was because I waited a bit to Patch, but I'm not encountering any issues at the moment. Got the Holiday Heroes, was able to do the Manual Patch as PGI had thankfully put a link up this time, did NOT have to reinstall MWO, and I'm on the MWO Portal.
, I've seen that Group-based Bug that you're talking about, and I'm on the MWO Portal Launcher, NOT on Steam. Trust me, the issue is far more expansive, and it is a pain when it hiccups. The problem can be fixed, however, by rebuilding the group. Restarting MWO should not always be needed. But, let us hope that PGI finds the bug on their end and fixes it anyway, albeit that I suspect it may be linked to some odd form of lag.
As for this...
