So those of us who are in a unit as a loyalist can't play the event as we have no control of contracts?

Seriously how stupid are you guys PGI? Even you don't know how your game works, if you ever wanted proof that PGI don't play their own game, here it is right here.

Come on PGI... Forcing us to change factions or no FP during a non-faction related FP event? Not everyone in my unit is willing to spend 10 to 12 hours straight crashing through 50 scouting matches to get all their loot before you screwed them out of the rest. This was a terrible idea and i know many players who are just changing games rather than change their factions... bullet meet foot...

Edit: the event wasn't the terrible idea... the implementation was. Last planet event it was possible to leave normal fp running, no?

Who thought that doing this during another event was a good idea?
I work in tech, and I understand that sometimes you have to break something to fix it, but this was not well timed or communicated.

Ok, so I've read this and things have changed, I don't play much and I'm just baffled here.

I am in a unit, attached to a house (loyalist path) I have rank 4 with Steiner and inches from 5.

From my understanding in the civil war part, I have to leave my unit, break my loyalty do 10 matches and then my KMDD/K counter starts. Then if I want to go back to loyal with my house, do I lose my rank?

I've already got the Steiner side done but an easy 1mil C-bills for a few matches seems tempting or is it just not worth the hassles or losses I'll deal with for it?

Also do the probation matches count for the universal FP event? I'm close to finishing phase 2 and would like to hit that as well.

The funny thing is that switch-penalty were added to the game to prevent players from jumping from fraction to fraction, taking low-hanging fruits. I know that this last change should be an improvement to amount of freedom degrees, but all of the current fuss ruined the core idea.

Wrote PGI and they responded with a fix for what I explained.
That didn't work either and I'll not repeat it.
I'm locked out of FP
I'm no longer in my Clan Falcon unit
I'm no longer in Clan falcon and now have to play 10 probation games that I can't access.
the team I am on will now have to re-invite me and I'm not sure what value left the team when this process removed my from Clan Falcon.

All this, for a silly warhorn and a camo pattern..............not again.

During the probation do the loot bags and all rack up? I know you get no loyalty points yet rack in XP and cbills. Do the event KMDD/Ks rack as well or is that 10 rounds till those also track?

Seems like a lot of hassle to drop do 10 rounds drop 10 more to go back to my chosen house and unit.

Ok I just saw it don't know if it's too little too late, but the faction based 10 kill/kmdd requirements were all dropped to 10. Timing remains though.

Yes the loot bags continue to accrue if you make the requisite match score while your in probationary matches. Now also the scouting matches work towards the probie limit as well. No more 10 invasion matches only.

I switched 2x for both the davion(0 previous faction loyalty) and steiner(again, 0 previous) and it worked for both...

Perhaps you should switch to a game that's less challenging and more directly rewarding? Something with no learning curve. Perhaps a turn-based game you can pick up and put down after just a few minutes of gameplay.

You clearly missed the entire point. Namely being the issue of Time, not Skill. It is one thing to award based on performance in game, it is another entirely to award those that do not have to attend school or work for a living.

And again, to be telling someone they shouldn't be playing a game because you think they suck is a poor way to help keep & grow a declining population.

So it's the second day of the beautiful and fascinating CW event.

Most of the loyalists still can't play CW at all.

No additional time to loot bags event announced.

No apologies for forcing people out from the unit/faction/event (take what you prefer).

Stability. Persistence. "Almost-all-works-as-intended"-ness.

On a better side, I finally installed some old Steam stuff bought during the sales.
