Thé MS led push by Clan Wolf, NKVA and the kentares massacre, NS leading House Kurita to an equal footing with the clans, the FRR becoming the first faction to become fully organized, the "Great Quirkening", dropzones that were located in push lanes and the Marik wormhole? How many of us are left that were there for all these cool moments before FP became watered down? What would it take to get you back to active status?


I'm looking for realistic ideas, as many have stated, big ideas aren't feasible, so give me your quick fixed that would get you back into FP and creating more of these memories some of us still talk about to this day.

Examples like, 3 buckets, IS v IS, Clan v Clan and IS v Clan if one side is overrun with population so inter faction matches would prevent ghost drops. Resetting LP trees each time you hit may rank so you can stay loyal to your faction, unit coffer c-bills being able to be given to unit members like MC are, etc.

Every junky keeps upping doses and trying something new in the hopes of finding that first cherry high again.

Ain't gonna happen man. There were also light rushes, 1800m+ ERLLs without opening the gates, it wasn't all roses.

It was however overall more enjoyable and engaging and you felt like you were part of a Faction warring against another Faction - at least it felt more like that then it currently does.

NKVA being gone is probably good for some people. In reality though it's indicative of the overall issue. NKVA was fun because they were invested. They had a story, they created some entertaining drama, in their wacky way they were RPing and creating depth that FW otherwise lacked. In the end though it was clearly more effort than it was worth; FW didn't offer the payoff to make it worthwhile. PGI swung between ignoring FW completely and making clearly bad choices for FW that hurt the population in the long run. It was never and will never be the rich, engaging gamemode we all got sold on before its release. Maybe that alone stings PGI enough that they just would rather it go away.

What you have now is what it is. That's what you get. Expecting it to ever be more than this is the mistake we all made, repeatedly, that left folks burned out on it. Play it for what it is and enjoy that if it's your jam. If not, well, there's always Solaris.

Either pay those ppl RL money to make their times worth while in FP or finaly get PGI to implement Content worth playing.

I remember the Golden days of CW when Clan Wolf International wasn't a dead unit, and it was all about lore, camaraderie, and zellbrigen training.

I felt like a true warrior and an honored member, when 30-ish people observed, and the Khan himself stood atop a Caustic hill in his Victor, looking down on the smoking wreck of my opponent, as I passed my Trial of Position. That sense of pride that 2+ months of training under my Sponsor was not in vain. He had prepared me in the ways of Clan Wolf. And now, his pupil, had become his equal.

And then, we joined up with Wolves from around the world, and led them to glorious victory over the IS surats, in the first-ever Tukayyid event.

Those were the days..

I miss those days..

When CW was not all one-sided stomps led by cheating or over-teamed premades. When the wins were hard-won, and the games exciting. When we rushed the gens, and defended for more than just a good score. When winning meant something.
