Guess no melee for mwo still.
Otherwise that Corgi would have Iron Jaw attack.
And once it clamped on your mechs leg the only way to remove it is to get team mates to blow your leg clean off. Hopefully they aim for the leg with the corgi attached.

You should rename Clan Wolf to Clan Corgi for the rest of the week.

In their hearts, every Wolfhound, Arctic Wolf, Mad Dog, Timber Wolf, and Dire Wolf... is a Corgi waiting to get out.

The Corgi marks a new low point in PGI's mech design efforts: they just took some Kit Fox side torsos, stuck them on a Kodiak head, and whacked that onto an Urbanmech ... and rendered it at half the normal resolution. Posted Image

And here I was thinking that they built it in Minecraft.

Not really. Strike, hit, don't get hit back (much) and disengage for some time. I believe 'mech weight and distance are factors for the timer.

Not Until we get Justice for the crimes PGI has done against us and the IP!

Yeah, I understand that PGI hasn't had a good track record, but still complaining about an April Fools joke is just as moronic as complaining about free stuff. Look, I have no problems with you or anyone who has a bone to pick with PGI, but it is silly to attack them because of a bad April Fools joke. Sure, I myself am irritated about things like slow progress and eyebrow-raising changes, but come on. There are more legit reasons you could bash PGI for, instead of using the Corgi as the main reason why.

This is how I feel about people who have legitimate and nonsensical reasons to criticize.

How I feel about people who have legitimate complaints like these:
Balance Issues - You have a good point
Constant Nerfings - Understandable, I see what you mean.
Lack of Content - You're absolutely right, to an extent.
Slow Progress - I absolutely agree with you.

How I feel about people who have nonsensical complaints like these:
Free Stuff - Then don't play, you idiot.
April Fools - You're a moron.
New Mechpacks - Then don't buy them, no-one is forcing you to. Just wait for the C-bill release.
Past/Current Grudges - Let it go and leave, there is no point in hanging around a place that doesn't respect you or your money if that is how you feel about it. Play MWLL, Mektek's MW4:Mercenaries, Megamek or wait for HBS's new BattleTech game to come out. There are other options if you don't like MWO.

I don't condone behavioral issues, but why is PGI here and how do they pay their stakeholders?

I just spent 5 minutes looking for the buy button before I remembered what day it was. How about being able to buy a Corgi with C-bills and making Corgi comPETitive area with a leaderboard completely separate from the real one. Yes, I'm being serious. Just a thought.

Well, I finally scrounged up the time to post... Yeah, it's been one of those weeks... Six pages before I could get here... Geez, I just get awful disruptions to my time scheduling...

Anyway, I got a laugh out of the April Fools' Joke. I missed the "Early Adopters Period" due to Real Life, unfortunately, but I would have clicked into it if I could have had the time. And yet, I was sad they don't seem to have any interest in the newer InfoTech Equipment. Stack on top of that the fact that I've noticed the Clan Active Probes (Both Normal and Light) don't seem to be 'sniffing out' Powered-Down Mechs like they should be (which is bad for "Year Of The Dog"), and the Joke got a nasty tad bit overshadowed. PGI was definitely "Barking Mad" when they thought that one up. :P /

Which reminds me... Those two Decals, and the Vanilla/Chocolate/Strawberry (aka "Neapolitan") Colors? PGI, they're Most Definitely Wanted. Please make them part of MWO's Camo Customization. Also, please provide Colorable Versions of the Decals! :)

As for the Event, it gets my 'Paws Up' ('Thumbs Up')... That was a fun pack of moments of play, more so than I expected. The "10 Hit & Run" were definitely more of a challenge than I expected. But, it's always hard to hit without taking fire in return, even when you're using a hill for a shield. :D

~D. V. "That was fun. Now to enjoy a rest. See you all at the Next Event." Devnull

If the Urbanmech IIC does come out in April, that will be amazing. We should Jinx this so hard.

Nice April Fools Joke and even better Event.
The Corgy already has a place in my heart and the dashboard of my mechs.

Please consider bringing up a Woofer/Fluffer Warhorn and the Corgy Decals.

Oh grow the @#$% up. PGI's been far better to us than a lot of larger companies. Look at the crap EA pulls. and people STILL buy their stuff.

I've been playing since Closed Beta, i've seen every twist and turn this game's taken, and frankly, you wanna know what most of the bad choices were? it's when they still had Infinite Game Publishing on their backs. as in, the same crap that actually ruined the end of Mass Effect 3, and made Mass Effect Andromeda get screwed up for Bioware: a Publisher sticking their nose into game development. PGI did what Bioware can't, and told them to screw off, and went solo, which has actually done nothing but improve the game since.

*****ing and whining because your favorite weapon system or mech got nerfed is stupid. You adapt. you move on. it's normal for the makers of ANY MMO to nerf whatever the "meta" is when it gets to the point that that's all the majority of people end up playing, which actually costs the game more players than any nerf ever will, because it becomes boring.

After looking at your forum badge and title, that first statement is a bit hypocritical coming from you.

But in seriousness, you are right. No matter how much good people do, the past or present will always catch up to them and we should keep a watchful eye. At the same time, this is the chance where they have look inside and find ways to redeem themselves. I've been here since 2012 and witnessed both good and bad in this game from Sarah's Jenner to the temporary minimap fiasco. Sometimes, it's better to forgive or take a step back, walk away, and never look back. Even I'll admit that I've taken multiple breaks from this game before and refused to spend money due to the irritating things like slow progress or the lack of meaningful content. But there is nothing is wrong with having a watchful eye for progress. If you are watching to see how PGI can redeem themselves or to see what they have in store for the game, then that is fine. But if your purpose is to keep hate alive because of a game and you want to see horrible things happen to PGI whether it happens to the devs or the company, then that is where you should say that this isn't worth your time anymore. As for me, I already know that I'll be taking a break from MWO and spend a majority of my time playing HBS BattleTech once it drops April 24th. Will I uninstall MWO completely? Nope. Will I continue playing MWO? I can't say for sure. Will I keep an eye on MWO? Sure, for better or worse.

With all due respect, I have nothing wrong with people venting their anger towards PGI, after all, everyone is entitled to an opinion. But when your hatred causes you to bash a developer over the silliest things like a terrible April Fools joke, you have to know when to step away, take a breather and tell yourself, "this isn't worth it."
