Me, I just want IS MGs to match up tonnagewise in potency with Clan ones. LMGs that weigh twice as much should be delivering near twice the firepower, all other things considered.

If the PIR-1 is OK, then there should be IS lights capable of mounting the same tonnage in MGs (and there aren't, though the Arrow can) and getting similar performance (they do not). At the least, there should be IS lights able to do similar performance to 8 MG Clan lights like the Mist Lynx.

To be fair, I've had a match where I've done 1.2k damage on a Huginn. Damage on crit seekers isn't a reliable indicator of performance because of how damage is calculated for component destruction and arm components being included in damage done for ST destruction.

And this is the main point. Folks do not know how the numbers get generated. I have watched that video several times now and still have no clue how I got that much. Seriously there needs to be an indicator at the end of match that breaks down damage for you. I had arty and Ammo are the only things i can come up with. But all Assaults and heavies see is a 20 ton mech kicking their arse and come to the forums to complain about it. When the majority of the time its their own dang fault.
Yes the Piranha is a strong light.... probably the strongest. Yet the other lights have been nerfed into the ground all because people have no situational awareness.

Its not the Piranha thats at fault its the Clan Machine guns.. and when used as a wolf pack with ACH and MLX-Gs its just insane.. The mechs are fine the MGs they boat are not..

Show me a video where a piranha is face tanking an assault pilot who knows how to aim and more importantly does not have his arm lock on. Literally every vid I have seen the piranha's and most lights are capitalizing on the mistakes the other mechs make. Lets face it to do well in a light you have to be a step above most others. Lights are by and far the most difficult mechs to get anything out of.
