I love it, it gives a mech character next you will want every mech to have the same cockpit most mechs have some restriction to the pilots vision shadow hawk has the same problem as the mechs you mentioned, the locus has bars that distort your vision not to mention the pirates banes machine guns some like the thunder bolt are asymmetrical each mech has its own challenges thats what makes them interesting i love being able to see my weapons over my shoulder its one of the best things about the shadow hawk and marauder.
