Yes assaults are far less viable in general maps/skirmish games. I wonder how they can be made to serve their true purpose in MWO better...?
and as far as QP team play goes, I have a good run most of the time when you speak up and ask for the 'little ones' to escort you in and watch your back. There are some good players that enjoy leadership and 'working on the same team'.
It benefits all and much more fun, let alone the win! o7

Assaults dont even have to ask me anything. When i use lights i pkck the biggest 100toner and glue myself on there a** until we get to the frontline.
Trust me. Nothing scares pirhannas more then a big hello from a rac5 wielding urbie... or any urbie realy. Main reason i want the umr80 in the game is that i then also can give ecm support.
Ps: just saw the quirks. Got to check it, but i think thats more armor than a annie.

4/6 come with Endo steel already instead of ferro.
6/6 come with DHS already.
5/6 come with Standard 300 Engine.
1/6 comes with 300 Light Engine.

The values you mention should be a MINIMUM for this 'Mech. Adding at least 5 or more to each of those would be more of what it will actually need.
Why is it that PGI always wants to make assault 'Mechs super squishy while buffing the lights into the stratosphere? Give this 'Mech the appropriate amount of armor quirks to protect it!

Compared to the Annihilator, much worse hitboxes and quirks.

The original TRO drawing also has higher mounts and the gauss rifle ports are appropriately sized rather than gaping stereo speakers/owl eyes. I think the MW4 and especially MWO Fafnirs are inferior looking in nearly every respect.

Worse quirks for the interesting variants all around. GG. Strictly inferior mech. Not only that, but those hitboxes combined with the quirks you gave it (or more precisely, didn't give it), makes it literally the worst among the dual HG assaults.
You made the most iconic dual heavy gauss mech the worst of the dual heavy gauss assaults. think about that for a second. gg.
Glad i didn't preorder, safed me the refund. Now those 20 $ go elsewhere.
