This is no different than NASCAR
Just because you have a Patron or Sponsor in the Camping World Truck Series doesn't mean they carry over to the Monster Energy Series or Xfinity Series. (Yes, I just "rednecked" MWO by bringing up NASCAR...)
Hmmmmm..... no... there aren't any camping 'Mechs. Sorry, your logic doesn't work here.
By splitting the 'Mechs into such Divisions in the first place, I think they've really acknowledged their poor game balance with finality. They've used their already poor game balance as an excuse to "provide more variety" in Solaris.
I think it's a bad excuse. I think they should've aimed at really balancing the chassis already in the game, and then we might not need Divisions at all.
But, either way, at the end of the day, these are all still 'Mechs. The Divisions don't really represent vast differences in the way the 'Mechs are played. We don't have different "tracks" for different Divisions, as with Motocross vs NASCAR. So it still doesn't really make any sense for SSR to vary by Division, even if the 'Mechs are kept separate.
As for sponsors, the last time I checked, I got a few hundred CBills from my sponsor on a win. Even with 10 sponsors, that's a pathetic additional reward, and again, the sponsors are still separated by Division, so if I want to "maximize" the additional rewards from my sponsors(which still don't make up for the already terrible CBill rewards per match), I've got to play exclusively in a single Division.
