Friendly units still exist, unit tax means nothing. If any of the (now 10) CbR's ever need money to invite folks, I just pop into whichever is space poor and drop 50 million c-bills. Our TS is open Mic, we spend more time joking around than planning and all you really need to do to fit in is have a sense of humor, enjoy my rather eclectic taste in music and understand I say push a lot. I guess you also need to accept the Atlas, Orion and Roughneck as the epitome of robots but I don't ever tell people what to bring, I just say we are brawling because more than 3 minutes of sniping or poking and the voices start really eating away at my thin grip on reality.

I wasnt suggesting you join these units, most of them will happily let non-unit members join their FP groups as long as they follow orders etc.

Most nights you would be the most fashionable person dropping for CbR. The only thing you'd hear was 'What? That's ridiculous. A revolver in a wide open space like that? LRMs are indirect fire weapons that have existed in these games/franchise for decades.

Plus I think they do make the game better, since they force teams to PUSH into a MASS confrontation instead of just to POKE until all in one side are dead from chip damage two days later.

So yes, LRMs are good for the game since they make for faster, more confrontational games, opposite to what people believe - they make players go head-front into the battle and actually have better chances than staying back.

I'm not a social person; at most I can team up with 2 or 3 friends in games, and even then only reluctantly.
And none of my friends want to touch MWO.

MWO is still a great game. Saw alotta LURMs last night. Lost one game in FP even with multiple AMS could not get near the Circle in Domination.

If that snake had been up front in an Orion or Atlas as a CbR member should instead of hiding in the back he wouldn't have gotten ganked.
