That's quite true. Not all Hero Mechs can be set up with powerful quick-kill configurations, as they were never meant for that kind of battle role. Now if only the MWO Community had more people who could understand that brawling is not everything, and that there could be room for various tactical approaches. I think some people missed something by not being able to play the Old MechWarrior PC Games.

Well, I guess it's time to cue the blooper reel music. I've just had a day effectively stolen from me by Real Life during "Day 7: C-Bill Day", and will need more than the next 24 hours to have any chance of finishing at this point. PGI's Event Handlers, if you're listening, I would really appreciate it if you would extend this particular day on the "May Days!" Event by at least 1 Day of time.

Please dont complain. I woke up, logged on, new day just rolled over, played 2 games in unleveled warhawk B 517 and 501 match score and done with the event. Pgi doesnt have to give stuff for free, its meant to be a challenge sometimes.

how is match score formulated? Does being in a lighter mech and doing 500 damage count more than doing 500 damage while in say a heavy?

Last I checked, Weight Class has Zero effect on Match Score. Every action done in a match gets the score it's set up to have, no matter what you choose to pilot. Sorry for the letdown.

On other notes, I'm currently having to ruin my sleep cycling to have any chance at finishing "Day 7: C-Bill Day"... Even then, I might still not succeed. PGI, if you're listening, I'm in need of at least a 1 Day Extension on that particular Challenge. I've also got the impression that I'm not alone on this issue. If you want people to have the little bit extra of (C-Bills) that would entice them to take part in the 40% Off (C-Bill) Sale on Mechs that's currently running, then pressuring for time and leaving people dry will make them more likely to not get any. Right now, at least from how I see it, the benefits of increasing the time limit on that particular day's Challenge outweighs the risks/costs of doing so.

Doesn´t matter if MS, C-Bills or XP, all that counts is damage, damage, damage, wether you´re in a Light or Assault. Players keep telling PGI to change that for years now, by giving more credit to scouting, UAVs or other stuff that light mechs use more than Assaults. Or just by simply giving medium and light mechs a multiplier. But as usual PGI won´t listen.

Just take out your best mech with the highest damage output and try to destroy compents.

That 500 match score was rough. took me 28 attempts. The even changed the game dynamics. Most people are playing heavies and assaults. However, most are LRM boats and are afraid to push. My guess is players assume they can do more damage if they are the last few alive to finish off the opponents.

Really? I mean come on.

I worked all day, got on @9pm C.S.T. and was done with the 3M c-bills by 11:30pm that same night.

Granted, I somehow turned 12M C-bill earnings into 6.9M with loadout changes and skill point buying, but seriously...

Well... I got lucky, recovered my stride, and pulled off "Day 7: C-Bill Day"... But, it came at rather severe cost to my own sleep cycling. Who knows how I'm going to land up paying for that...

On other notes, I have been hearing additional complaints from others about the allowed time on that day being too short. It should still get 24 more hours pumped into it, regardless of how things worked out for me. Something tells me the Community's completion percentage isn't as high as it should have been.

finished it tonight after work.

Took me about 6 hours RL time, but only about 3 in game. I'm not that good, just gotta find the mechs that work for matchscore.

The real question is, what do I do with the 4100MC I've accumulated? Leaning towards a grinner and a ghille, but the Deathstrike has some pull as well.

You're getting a 'Like' on your post from me. I'm also thankful to PGI for having put up this particular tough Challenge, as well as modifying it and giving enough of a percentage of the Community enough time to actually have a chance at completing it. This particular Event has been done rather well, in my opinion.
