Make the map random and allow team leaders to ban chassis.

Instead of a Chassis Ban, which could really mess up prepared Tactics, i would prefer a no duplicate Rule, to avoid Dropdecks like 2x Wolfhound, 2x Hunchback IICA, 2x Summoner and 2x Annihilator!

As a spectator, please no HPG or Mining or Tera Therma or Forest. They suck to watch. Action is covered half the time and too dark and not good to follow.

Keep Canyon and Tourmaline. They are good matches to watch and classics, easy to see and understand.

Polar and Alpine are not enjoyable matches to spectator - not a lot of surprises. Watching slow trades is not engaging.

Grim is okay, visually easy to see what's going on and understand the plays.

Want to see Rubelite and Solaris City a lot. These are new and will have new strats play out.

keep canyon and Tourmaline, ok know we know exactly what they are gonna pick at least once also put in

Rubbelite, Grim plexus (way better than polar) and mining.

Or maybe perma ban any map picked twice in a 5 map set, so max 2 canyon, 2 tourmaline and at least one of something else

or 1 canyon 1 tourmaline and 3 different ones. As a spectator rather than a player i'd rather see these guys sweat it out coming up with 5 tactical sets rather than 2. Rubbelite is a pretty good map, my current favourite, and i know denairwalkerr talked about invisible walls on rubbelite, fair enough, but tourmaline has a few of those and alpine peaks is a flawed map too so there is plenty to go around. Just gotta learn the walls and work around it i tihnk

As a spectator only:
-Not just Conquest. Have multiple map modes like Domination or Escort. (See, I've got a joke today. Escort mode for a balanced fight...).
-No giant maps. Polar is too big unless it's Polar Domination.

The 5 that I'd like to see:
Solaris
Rubellite
Mining Collective
Frozen City
Viridian Bog (for a change-up)

Why not Canyon? It's a good map...but it requires jumpjets to do well, and that locks out a good portion of the mech options and thus variety in what we see.

Have mercy and do not include Escort unless the AI Atlas is significantly improved. I would welcome Skirm, Conq, Domination, Assault/Incursion

One big map would be fine to break the monotony of the smaller maps.

5 maps I think would be a fun mix up.
- Solaris, I think this should be included as a "debut" for the competitive scene. See how coordinated teams interact.
- Alpine
- Ruby
- HPG
- Canyon

Can't do Skirmish or Assault. Both teams would set a firing line and try to wait the other out. Incursion is too easy to rush out, it would turn into base rushes with no fighting.

Conquest works because it's a good mix of fighting and objectives that forces fighting and requires some tradeoffs. Better than domination for MWOWC. Domination works in MRBC because the domination drop is all lights and mediums.

Remove Tourmaline, Canyon, Mining. Balanced? Sure, but too damned boring. Just make it so that teams play once on each side so slight imbalances don't matter.

I, like almost everybody else, love Canyon Network but unless you want another season of Canyon Network and Tourmaline Online then they got to go, at the very least Tourmaline has to go.

Maps I vote for:
Mining Collective - Shout out to the brawlers
Frozen City - Shout out to all the try hards
Crimson Strait -
HPG Manifold -
Rubellite Oasis -

I would like to see Solaris City, not sure if it will have passed the terrain bug test by the time the game starts up, but that what hot fixes are for, right?

From my viewpoint as a spectator, it was 90% Canyon. Balanced or not (and despite the fact, that Canyon is a map I hat eloke no other map) it was getting boring last year with so much canyon. The first answer-posting here was good, why not use completely different maps to get the teams out of their comfort zone? If a team wants to be the champion, it has to perform good on any map, not just on the ones they like and know like nothing else.

Just my 5 cent...

As a watcher,

I am big on the ability to see the match evolve -- so Tourmaline, Canyon, Frozen City and Grim Plexus are good. I would add Rube, just because it is a map that requires management.

Mining Collective and Crimson are cool, but with the tunnels and "hidden spots" -- nope. Forget Arctic Highland and Polar. Caustic and Therma are good but the graphics make it hard to follow.

I like the reduction in maps idea. The two bans are good, but I can see going from 5 to 4 to 3 maps to choose -- with maps not being replayed during a set. Forces teams in mastering more maps and adapting their builds. Also, winning team loses a ban on map on the following selection. It's a balancing game mechanic which helps losing team get to what they believe are their better maps.

Finally, I applaud the thought of a new map for the final. Everyone is thrown the same bone -- and the teams that really play well together will come out ahead.
