Concept art for comparison:

Looks great overall in my opinion, but who knows what happened to the Gauss rifles in the STs lol
Not a fan of the wide missile bib either. Looked much better in the concept art.
Also it seems to have slimmed down quite a bit going from concept art to model. Hopefully that'll help it's survivability somewhat.

There was also a screenshot of the hero that they had up on the home page briefly. If anyone was able to snag it, please post.

Thoughts? Likes/Dislikes? Salt?

Yeah... if there isn't shoulder quirks that is going to be a killer since you can't twist that.

It looks okay, a little flat maybe, but the camo on the on Special variant look pretty faithful. Hopefully, we get to see more screenshots to show off more of the Blood Asp's perspective.

The Gauss nubs were supposed to be flipped upside down. We already settled this with the Mad Cat Mk. 2!

Also, the whole shoulder mounts look too vertically tall yet horizontally short and stubby. Actually it looks like they straight up pulled the arms off a Mad Cat Mk. 2 and shoved them up there.

Not impressed at all. Also, I am still disappointed about PGI not choosing to retain Blasp's signature beak. Would have given it more personality.

I personally don't mind the lack of a beak (since it's a snake-themed mech, after all), but it would still be cool to see the original rendition make it into a more modern video game.
I'm very partial to the original's Gauss rifle designs tbh

Reserving 3D model judgement until I see more of it. I'm still not a fan of the MC2-style legs over the TRO/mini legs.

1. Flip those Gauss Rifles upside down to match concept art....

2. Take said Gauss rifles and also shove them in the MK II's arms please? Not a fan of sticking out so far ect.

Agreed.
If 1 can't be done then could they at least be pushed inside the housing so they don't appear ?

The CT is pretty ugly. It looked fine in the concept art.

Waiting for quirks to buy it or not.

I've already planned my fav builds in the Asp, 'cause I love it.
Those high monts are juicy..... but juicy also for the enemy to rip them off :D

1) Gauss riffles need to be flipped and the barrels pushed further inside like in the artwork!
2) The cockpit seems a bit larger than it should be.. Looks to me from that image it will be easy to headshot.. They need to make it smaller and position it below the upper line of the shoulder pads..
3) They did slim it down and make it flatter..

God I hope they don't mess it up.. it's one of the more beautiful mechs and one of my favorites, and also THE FIRST EVER mech I preordered..

So please PGI.. DON'T MESS THIS UP..

Can someone please make Russ aware of this topic on Twitter?

Most of us agree on the Gauss Riffles, so please.. let's make them listen..

It looks as expected. And it could have been much worse.

If PGI could just stop using those shiddy weapon graphics.

Looks just about right.

I think we're so got used to mechs being 20% fatter than the concept art, that when the model is suddenly not 20% fatter, we call it slimmed down.

I just wish the top weapon pods were half as tall... They are ugly with that tall for only housing a single weapon.

Wow, that;s one wasted opportunity, that beak looks great

Or is it 5D chess? And they're just waiting to add it as a bolt on
