So, did they just shorten the gauss rifles in the scale screenshots? Or is the angle messing with me? If the former, then damn does this mech look weird now.

The gauss rifles are shorter and ballistics (at least the gauss rifles from the screens, but i guess all of them) use the smaller shoulder housing now that was previously only used for the energy weapons. Look at the camo pattern video for comparison.

So they have. That's... rather disappointing. They could have just made where the energy hardpoints were at the same height as the gauss rifles instead.

They could, but this way is better for keeping those guns intact, even if it doesn't look quite as pretty. I like it.

What can not be seen on the size comparion screens is if they also swapped the order of the left hand energy hardpoints around so they are more symetrical as I described in a previous post, guess we have to wait till release to see.

As for the shoulder mounts, I think using the smaller energy ones for all weapons but giving them the same length to the front as the older bigger ballistic ones would look good, but thats probably not a short term solution since it would mean actually remoddeling and retexturing of those parts, which is not something to be done over the weekend as a quick fix.

THose horizontal points in the rms should be vertical, since the arms themselves are vertical...

They match the original art, so no, the should be as they are.

On the bright side, those lower and smaller torso pods should help with the hitboxes.
I do hope they make them longer at some point, or at least lengthen the gauss models themselves

The old mis-matched ones looked horrible, these are just a little stumpy.

I can live with stumpy.

Not to mention; the mech will live longer.

That's never gonna happen.

Wow, the legs ended up really boxy compared to the concept art.

Either the torso is way too small, or the legs are way too big. The proportions are definitely off on the Blood Asp model.

Quirks and agility stats are out and I ended up cancelling my pre-order. I think the ECM variants will be great, don't get me wrong, but as a c-bill bonus mech pilot, I thought the PRIME (S) variant which doesn't have ECM seems to lose out to the Deathtrike in every way and not worth 40$. I'm not interested in non-cbill bonus mechs, which is a shame since if either of those ECM variants were the (S) or hero I would have kept my order.

I was at least hoping for better agility or some survival quirks for not having ECM. Oh well.. time to wait for the next mech.

Is it just me, or is it going to be much easier to hit that thing than a MCII? (taller when the MCII doesn't have ears, wider, thicker, fuller torso areas, bigger legs)

Lets see how the Blasp will do without any armor quirks. I'm not expecting much.
