Sure, it's another 90-ton Clan omnimech, but with a standard 360 fusion engine. With that standard engine, though, it has received a reputation on tabletop for being an absolute zombie, especially with one or two center torso energy hardpoints. With some good structure or armor quirks to make up for the lack of firepower, I can see this 'mech being a counterpoint to the Blood Asp being lots of gun and somewhat a glass cannon.

If the side torso falls off? No big deal. No loss in engine heat capacity, no loss in speed, and the 'mech can poke you still with two CT-mounted ER Large Lasers or an ER PPC.

Basically a faster Clan Atlas. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing it show up here in MWO.

Oh, and also:

We're good on 90 tons and certianly don't need another one atm, but we can add in a 95 tonner.
And we have three options.

Turkina: Pretty well know no explanation here.

Hellstar: Clan Awesome

Shrike: Jade Falcon answer to Wolf's Tundrawolf heavy.

There's also the Cygnus (faster clan Anni, basically) as an option. I'd vote for it (or one of the other two Battlemechs) first over the Turkina since the Clans could probably use a 95-ton Battlemech before a second 95-ton Omni.

I did originally thought of it but it uses cRAC's and HAG's so it was off the list til the next tech jump.

I'd be happy if they just added HAGs.

The -1 and the -4 are Civil War legal at least, and that's at least as many usable variants as we had when some other mechs were introduced (Supernova, Marauder IIC, Orion IIC, Nightstar). The HAG variants would need PGI replacements for sure though, yeah.

There's a cRAC variant? Sarna's missing it if it does.

Agreed.

Plenty of weight brackets that need another Mech or two more than the 90 tonners.

While I'd prefer the Cygnus over another 90 toner, I'd rather we go one year further ahead and get the Tundra Wolf. First heavy Battletech and a 75 tonner with okay agility until the inevitable nerf hits.

Clans needs another 95t mech with less locked in equipment not this abomination of a clan omnimech with a 360STD engine.
This mech would require quirks on the level of the old Dragon 1N (50% cooldown) or Thunderbolt 9S (50% heat gen) to be viable and we all know PGI would not hand out those quirks again!
The Kingfisher is utter rubbish and is only promoted by personal preferences of fan boys.

Uh, Gas Guzzler is still active in this forum man, don't say like that.

It is still an omnimech, but Turkina fits the bill quite well.

I'm not a fan of the Turkina since it has the same mobility as the Dire Whale, with a bit less pod space and fewer critical slots. Its innate JJs are irrelevant since the Dire Whale had its JJ variant released in MWO.

But for the sake of completeness, here is my spreadsheet anyways:

And? If entire EMP would be fanboys of the Charger (3025 version) this would not make it any less rubbish.
People would only play it for sentimental reasons and shelf it after a few games because it would suck so hard.

Well, 50kph 95t omni mech is also not really a bummer but I would call it more viuable than the Kingfisher.
There are several 95t clan battlemechs though on Sarna.

Actually the Charger could turn out pretty well in MWO because of our mechlab. It would be a very mobile assault ("big heavy") that could boat a bunch of MPL's and go to town on people.

I would like to see the Hellstar and the Turkey mostly one a mech that build around ppc is nice maybe sneak some ppc quirks on it, and the other we have every other clan totem mech, except for the falcons plus a 6M assault and it can challenge the SPV-A in the ATM48 spot with more ATM's!!!

Yeah, totally unlike Uziel, Hellspawn or Thanatos.

Yeah, because you really have to run it stock. Posted Image

I'd like to see the Turkina get inherent jump jet quirks to differentiate it more from the Dire Wolf S. It being a better flier would help set it apart from the 100-ton 'mech Clan Jade Falcon wished they designed Posted Image

I'd laugh if they implemented the Charger and made its default engine sizes the minimum caps.
