please note the exe reports that it is version 0.4.170.0. this has no effect and will be fixed with the next patch

As previously mentioned, we are patching MWO today in order to comply with GDPR.

Primarily this affects you by having to agree to the new Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

To do this you will need to log into the website after the patch.

You will be prompted to read and accept the new Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

This post provides the details as to the intent of these updates.

Feel free to discuss the changes to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in the forums.

Sweet, always nice to hear some bug fixes and even better to see we get a free champ mech ^^

But wait in my calendar we are thursday 24th of may and not march? who is living in the past down there with :Thursday, March 24th 2018 @ 10AM – 1PM PST ?

Noob question: How do I install/run the patch? I'm assuming I need to extract the files to a certain location.

You shouldn't have to do anything, the patcher will run the update for you. Piranha just gives people the ability to download patches and install them manually, for people who want to do that.

I sold my regular NVA-S a long time ago when I needed C-Bills and a mechbay, so I still have 91 historic SP, and I just saw that they can be applied to the NVA-S(C) :-)

They were empty color categories in the camo spec section... They just removed the categories.

Of course you will make use of it . We have had multiple cross faction challenges this year .

Note to PGI --- It just took me on the order of FOUR HOURS (thanks to about 15 Real Life interruptions) to read through the entire Terms Of Service and Privacy Policy. It would be appreciated if a Condensed, Smaller Version were available to read for those who simply lack the time and/or focus to read the Full Original Documents unimpeded. Right now, I feel like I've been driven half out of my mind, and that's totally not a good thing at all... I guess I'll just be thankful to have that New Free Mech in my Mech Garage.

How long ago did you Accept the New ToS and New P.P.? If the clock hasn't crossed an Hourly Line yet, then that would explain why you haven't received the Free Champion Mech. However, if it has already done that at least once, and you don't have your Mech, then you'll need to Contact MWO Support, just as noted in the News Posting. Right now, as I type this, it's crossing an Hourly Line for me, so I need to go 'play a match'/'use testing grounds'/'use academy'/'relogin' in order to get mine. Pardon me while I do so...
