People can often be... should we say.. emotionally hurt after a match and often want to go into the TS of the units they faced to noise bomb, troll, etc. That's why if the TS doesn't give participants absolute power over who can speak, poke, message etc, it won't happen.
Cobra TS is an open servez but i have so many admins that if their is a problem, someone is around to kick the offending party. When BCMC moved over, I have tags to the members they designated as needing admin tags, their space is run their way, I don't impose my rules on it. The same would go for any unit that moves in. Just be aware that the actual Cobra rooms are a free-for-all open Mic area unless we are doing MRBC or when we do world championship matches. So those offended by our party bus ways would just stay in their areas.

Sorry if you don't like my responses but I am speaking for only BCMC. I don't represent the whole community, but again I am of the strong opinion that there will be no way to convince everyone to get on one hub and feel that my suggestion of a centralized and up to date list would be more realistic.

Fine. If BCMC does not want to at least TRY to help out the CW population as a whole with a centralized meeting place for Units on both sides of the war, that is BCMC's loss.

Let's just never hear anything from BCMC about helping new and old players find Groups/Units if you cannot even TRY.

At least Unknown is TRYING to work with the community for the benefit of all that play CW.

Since you speak for all BCMC, what is so wrong or hard with putting a member or two on a central hub as a contact point for fellow Clanners to find people to play with?

I just know after Unknowns posting today there we so many new faces on ComStar that pilots had to start multiple Dropships to accommodate them all.

I will say this though. A lot of the "big" units have posted thier TS servers in here and elsewhere... A Google search will find a bunch of them. Or if you know that a pilot is in X unit and want to drop with them, send them a PM... If all that's too much effort.. well...

You are not listening. We did go somewhere to be accessible. The idea will not work and there is going to be no one central place...or two if you count discord which is not like TS anyway.

I have done my part and have reached out to community. So you getting all pissy over this one thing is ridiculous. We are also a Merc unit not Clanner.

So get mad all you want brah, don't care. Also this if you don't see things my way lets never hear about helping new players bs doesn't wash. We continue to reach out and do our thing within the community while you threaten to execute people for not doing what you want.

However you want to convince a ton of folks to migrate to Cobra hub have at it.

I don't know who this S O L A I S person is, but one of the intentions of BCMC was to be open and accessible to all (see my NON Recruitment Post). That was the primary we were on the comstar TS to begin with. That AND it was a no rules unit....only peer pressure to force you to do the right things (builds, actions etc).

I was the 13th member to join the unit. BCMC prided itself on playing in lance or less strength and carrying any and all pugs to victory. That is how we got better, and then when we all played as a unit we were great as a team. By the time TUK hit last year we were unstoppable, with only EVIL and sometimes KCom being the better units. It wasn't by keeping to ourselves, it was by playing with everyone.

The point of my minor diatribe...is that separating ourselves does nothing for the game. People have been spouting the greatness of DISCORD for a long time, but ignore TeamSpeaks's primary stregnth's....open to all. Each Discord room is by invite only, very team/unit eccentric...TS servers have been a great resource as acting as a hub for common interest.

I (personally, I do not pretend to speak for BCMC like some others do) whole heartily support this

Lovas, you know Cobra TS is open to all. Feel free to invite anyone in. rodcbr1.teamspeak3.com. BCMC room are at bottom. Don't be shy; I rarely bite and won't snipe anyone's unit members.

I'll snipe your whole unit. ;)

It's fine to use our TS as a hub. I can increase the amount of people allowed. Just give me a few days notice so I can see the message, get online and upgrade our space.

My friend it really doesn't matter when you joined. I understand that you disliked the move over to CBR especially since you were away for the discussion and why we moved. We didn't do it lightly, either and it was mulled over.

We still all hold those same values especially since we are down to less than a dozen active guys. This back and forth between me and this guy is silly. Telling me who has put in a ton of time reaching out that I can shut up if I don't like his way set me off.

I also know that those folks already on the other TS servers are very unlikely to all migrate to comstar or any other single TS.

My point is we need a solution or idea that actually might be possible, which moving all to one is just not going to happen.

It does in the context of what the unit was at the time...because lets be honest - BCMC isn't what it was

Yes, and this is why I agreed with this post and TS in general. TS hubs is where folks gathered together. That was always the downside of discord.
A mass grouping in Comstar benefits the game - forget how hard it was to contact the admins and what they did to piss you off...you have to think past yourselves.

*EDIT*
In any hoo - I still absolutely support the theme of the OP. lets make CW great again in spite of its creators

Oh good gosh no it isn't. So many folks I miss. That is however why I have actively been reaching out and getting folks to drop with us. We are lucky to put six guys on the field at a time. Some of our very best have not logged on in months....

Comstar is also not what it was. And again CBR hub won out because it is a very welcoming place known to a lot of folks already including pugs and people from other units.

As far as getting past ourselves, it isn't about that. Comstar wanted to scale down and they have. They pretty much pushed us out the door. Also lets go back to the entire point that we are not going to get people all on one server, TS or otherwise (discord can die in a lake of fire though). So what is a realistic and practical solution here? Still think it is by making sure units that want to be found and are open to dropping with folks can be found.

absolutely. Our methods may be different, but the goals are the same.

*EDIT*
Let say (and I am pretending here) that I hate the comstar admins...I still support the original post. We need stronger hubs for CW. I remember being a PUG (when Tanner went to sea and Brawling Bear was too drunk to play), but still I had places to go to group up for CW.

Yeah some are known for this childish going on.

That said if it's a good game, I have many times popped into another channel to say as much abd vice versa.
We always want good games.

If I'm running open groups I always pop into a few TS Hubs (there are quite a few), and usually tag myself as such.

Not about the hate but rather the love for CC.

You ready to talk about colors changes yet? Just kidding the 'don't you dare' came across loud and clear and mardi gras colors it is. Though since Trademark is not around to enforce it though, I don't know what to do.

It’s really not that hard to figure out. Since you and tanner have taken the mantle...be the enforcer. If you don’t you are just a pansy ;)

Pansy it is then as I don't have the energy to pick on folks about colors.

The mantle? Nah I am just on a lot (about to change) and since I am one of the original members it seems people look to me for stuff. Already told people though if I have to 'call' any more matches I am going to go do something else. Drop calling was a staple of what we did not do...we also used to know which gate to go to on Boreal.

If there's going to be one location, it needs to be neutral ground, not on a faction or unit server.
As Comstar is not shutting down, it's the perfect place.

For scouting, my suggestion or call towards units would be to drop not with four but with three players to allow a fourth (new) pugger to tag along and learn by example.

I mostly join solo in the scouting queue and i'm put together with one, two or sometimes even three new rookie players going up against an four man premade group. These new players have no clue what to do and go down within a few seconds at the first engagement. That experience is harsh and is by far new player friendly, i guess alot of new players will never return because it appeared so unfair...

Anyway, if all units would do this it remains an even playfield but becomes a bit more new player friendly.
