... and "try" at leat "try" to get good.
It is a shame that so many Pilots ain´t got the right Will to get better - and it is also a shame that the almighty god "producer" (PGI) is trying to balance the game for "those" unwilling to learn and even try to get better!
A big NO THANKS to PGI and their Way of balancing. ( they are doind it the wrong way )

Ask support, they may well credit you... it's a first for you and you're a Veteran!
Ill try that, thank you.
I feel I should add that I stepped away from the game for quite a long time due to poor internet quality in my area.

Oh it started going in that direction, lest us not forget the $500 golden mechs and MC advanced consumables of old.

Using WoT as comparison again, the thing that ruined that game was the the tier system and the NECESSITY of premium time, ammo, consumables and crew skills to remain competitive, particularly at the higher tiers.
In MWO, you can play almost any mech (excluding Hero's) as long as you have the C-Bills, no grinding through the tree for 6+months just to get the one you want. Speaking of Hero's, not once have I felt screwed because I was fighting a Hero in a standard variant. Hero quirks are great but are no substitute for skill. Premium Consumables are very helpful, but not required if you want to win. Any mech can have some effect on ANY other mech, none of this "That one bounced!" BS.

First, there is no such thing as premium consumables in MWO. Both c-bill and MC versions are equivalent.
Second, heroes are usually just a rather unusual take on the chassis in regards to hardpoints (i.e. the ballistics mount on the hero Stalker). Many of the standard variants actually have better quirks/loadout options than the hero variants, which in turn often require a specific play style to make them work (Spider Anansi, anyone? ).

That was part of the point I was trying to make in response to a slightly disparaging comment about PGI business practice.
