I know how bad lurmers play and how absolutely frustrating it is to die and end up in that guy's cockpit (ugh)
But that players would be bad with ANY weapon.

Congrats PGI.

In buffing LRMs you honed in on the single thing that would actually make the game worse for players who have any degree of skill.

Tell you what: now just make all matches be played on Polar Highlands. That way the lurmtards can have a field day every day.

They continue to ignore what the community is telling them.

They say things like "you don't have the data to make proper decisions" or "we need to do things for the good of the game rather than what the community wants."

They don't even play the game. They barely understand the game. The one dev that does play the game regularly is awful at it: his level of skill and game knowledge is literally a joke in the community.

They have no idea how their changes actually affect game play or the cascading effect their changes will have on match quality on the ground. They don't ******* know what is good for the game and the direction they've taken over the last year and their dying player base is living proof.

I don't give a **** what your data set tells you, because whatever it is telling you has been shown to either be completely worthless or you are making some truly braindead reads of that data. Why don't you release it? Are you scared that the community might find that you made errors? That your assumptions about that data might be wrong? I mean, you guys are so good at this that you never make errors, so why not go ahead and put your money where your mouth is?

"Oh but this LRM buff was in the community balance document," you might say. "Checkmate, try-hard."

That small buff to IS LRM heat (taking into account launcher tonnage and heatsink size) was included in a suite of buffs and adjustments to all weapon systems. It did not call for multiple, sweeping buffs to LRMs across the board.

While I dont see the changes to LRM as necessary, i also dont get the uproar on those changes.
A bad LRM player is still a bad LRM Player and is still quickly taken out by Lights and pushes, and those who are good with them will dislike the changes.

The SSRM changes concern me as Mechs like the Stormcrow and the Arcticwolf will be pretty much hard counters to Lights.

The aLaser-Nerf for Clans in the PTS is on a whole other piece of paper tho

You know this is just an observation from a new guy but I never see or hear all this whining when an lrm boat is putting out damage on a winning team. Or people crying about a stealth light getting locks for lrm's from behind their lines, or people mentioning front line lrm mechs.

Sheer volume of fire is something LRMs don't need more of

0.35 less heat for a clan lrm 15,
it has a cooldown of 4.3 seconds,
thats 0.08 less heat a second.

Do you realy cry about a buff of 0.08 hps?

How about we finally make that Lurms can be only be fired on NARC'ed, TAG'ed and UAV'ed enemies. And on lesser accuracy if in direct LoS on Lurmer.

To bad that the spread increase reduce effective dps as much as you get the heat reduced, its both 6%.
