Well, can't blame you guys for being angry. As bad as the Matchmaking is on "Solaris 7 Mode", we simply know that only a small section of the Player Base could finish these. Worse, I'm NOT one of the ones who could finish. <_<

...just simply for effort. This Event is an Auto-Skip for me. WarHorns and (MC) may normally be the "Achilles' Heel" that would draw me in, but the abuse I took from "Solaris 7 Mode" the last time I tried was enough to automatically turn me permanently cold to that Game Mode. The Matchmaking System makes it Naturally Unbalanced due to lack of players even having a mind to try in the first place. Most of the Player Base is NOT Competitive-class Players. Most of the Player Base HAPPENS TO BE Casual-class, and they're not going to spend time in a Mode where you just get beat up and don't normally get anything for it. Casual-class players do NOT need (let alone want) to be 'cannon fodder' for Competitive-class Players, and they won't put up with it! :angry:

I'll probably do the 7 matches, that's pretty easy. If I don't do too badly, I might try for the 7 kill/victory in 1v1. As for the rest of it, I don't like the format enough to try and get victories in every division, especially in 2v2.

It's on a level with a faction play invasion event to me.

This spud isn't good enough for the heady heights of Solaris 7.

This event is honestly what Season 1 needed - You know - At the launch of it.

Or even towards the end for people grinding a results. While and event is good it's 3 months late.

Actually PGI did announce something near the end, like right near the end.
I even considered trying solaris but then from reading the overwhelming responses to that announcement...
I thought nah I'm not going to spend hours in waiting cues, thats what FW is for! Ha ha ha. :P

Oh, have they fixed 2v2 so that it has a PUG mode instead of relying on the "Friends" function that most of us don't use?

This is what should have been done when the game mode actually first came out instead of killing it on arrival with a quickplay event. Hopefully it will encourage people to play 2v2s for awhile...

Is it only myself that is unwilling to wait close to two minutes for a S7 match due to how short and poor these 1v1 matches can be? ....They simply are not any fun for myself.

But then again I am of the opinion that all of Mechwarrior is a group game and it is in that interplay of skill, passion and even laughter that I truly enjoy myself.

Simply; S7 isn't worth it. Not for all the free stuff in the world. Kindly, lets work on faction play and the quality of the game overall.

As a leader in daily life I'd like to stress to Russ and everyone working hard at PGI what it would take to make this game both more fun and more profitable with less time expended.

Optimize within the software engine's abilities foremost. After all the other work you do it's how the game runs that makes it or breaks it. Period. If you have to remove trees etc. and end up with a bit austere looking maps that fine; MWO would then gain a reputation for quality as a simulation. Solid play First. (high FPS and hit reg) You can't sell colors to kids if the game is no fun to play.

I know Cryengine has some real weaknesses, and that's ok. Work within it's values more and you'll reap a vast player base you've driven away. Real thinking adults. Consistency and quality always earn a profit.

Oh trust me, plenty of funny stuff happens in Solaris 7!

Laughing at myself for whiffing easy shots

Laughing at my opponent overheat suiciding himself when he was about to win

Laughing with my opponent in chat during long tense wall hugging standoffs

Or when both of us run out of ammo and are trying to ram the other to death with our one good leg....

Eh PGI.. You didn't listen, you do not focus the playerbase to a division with this one, so the matchmaking will be all over the place.

Nope. Not the greatest flaw in Solaris but still a flaw nonetheless.

Eeeeeek , I never played 2 v 2 in my life .

As much as I like warhorns , I find th cbills more attractive . Kinda sad when you reached that point of having more warhorns than you need.
