or maybe because PGI is too busy making new mechs and not new maps? (sure it's a business, but you have to keep the game current) I've dropped my playing time quite a bit and pretty much only play on Sundays now, unless there's an event and my small clan doesn't play much anymore either. It just isn't as fun anymore
Likely due to over focus on super solos. No focus on team play nor social tools. If you keep encouraging super solo, that's what the players become.

Oddly, if they had initially more mechs out, developing S7, then QP, then CW would have made hella more sense from a balance/tuning standpoint, focusing on 1v1, 2v2, then moving into force multipliers in a team setting, but, alas, hindsight is 20/20....
...or 50/50, depending on who you ask...

The reason 500,000 + player quit after closed beta is (PGI WONT LISTEN TO ITS REAL COMMUNITY) and instead relies on FALSE WANTS AND ADVISE FROM A FEW top comp players and its self.
So what do you all expect? Russ and PGI took the Whales to the bank long ago now there is only dolphins left to fund the game when PGI said FFFFUUUUU we don't care what you have to say. LOL LOL LOL.
That is the silliest post I've seen in a while.
Please be trolling because the community, a lot of mediocre to top players put together a balance update that would shake up the meta and change the game and make a lot of bad weapons good and fine tune some of the better weapons and it was scrapped and PGI is cherry picking little bits of it and going "Look see, it doesn't work" instead of implementing it all so it would work in synergy.

Battletech community deserves a better MWO, hurts to watch how many nice people dropped it since skill tree & CW 2.0 introduction & how latest LRM buffs delivered final blow on adequate part of game population.

not a single MechWarrior or video game related battletech group to be found
A single comic-con event would likely bring 1000 new players.

My arms, covered in a sheen of sweat, hang at my sides. The fight has gone from me. I feel the stillness of my BattleMech, its reactor dead, cold, and lifeless. While hitting my harness release I look at my good arm as goose bumps start to form on my exposed skin, slowly I reach up and remove my Neurohelmet . I turn it to face me, looking with an appraising eye at this tool or war, this link to technological godhood. Its weight has always been reassuring but today it feels heavier than it ever did in the past. I turn and placed it in the storage locker, standing as much as my cockpit will allow and make my way to the egress hatch. I hit the release and wait as it cycles open, looking up as I have done countless times before to the stencilled words above the hatch. Dreadcore stare back at me. The hand written addition underneath says ‘Got your back’, they always did. I step out into the chill air and climb down the chain link ladder. It’s like I’m watching from a distance, it’s not me, it’s a warrior broken by battle.
Dreadcore, a name to inspire the rookies and fear into the enemy, or dread at my core when I considered what we had to do in war. It shouldn’t have ended like this.
Farewell mechwarriors, I hope to see you in the future. o7.

o7 Dreadcore,
only as a suggestion: If you want to try another Mech Game which is (sadly) not Battle Tech based, keep an eye on Vox Machinae. At the moment i am playing the closed beta and it has potential. Although it takes a lot of its immersiveness from the vr factor i believe it can offer a lot of sim characteristic. It's developed by passionate independent developers. Fun fact: i believe they are even canadians.

When I started it was an FW event and that was all I knew. And I no longer if ever saw a point in it.
The Unit I'm in has changed and has gone up to 180 players but it is just a collection of guys and not a "team".
