There is a penalty to rejoin your preferred faction though.

Probably is now, wasn't for the 1st year that the idea was raised, this argument is what caused the neve ending degrading downward spiral of faction population, At any point till about 6 months ago had this been implemented FP could have begun climbing out of the population loosing spiral, of course initially a LOT of the seal clubbers would have kicked up a fuss, maybe 5% of those might have left, but over time it would have brought more people in than were lost initially.

Scouting worked day 1, pretty sure you cant do the 1250 conquest points in scouting, but can do the others.

i dont seam to getting any faction points for Kurtia, do you have to serve probation everytime you change faction?

Notice how your 'Faction Alignment User Avatar' shows "House Kurita", but only half of the image, with the other half being the 'Unaligned Mercenary' image? That's because you picked a 'MERCENARY EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT', and therefore your points are being given to you as 'Reputation Points' (RP -- Yellow Background) on your "Mercenary Career"... If you had clicked the item on the left side marked "Factions", followed by "Inner Sphere" and "Choose Side", then either "House Kurita" or "House Davion", and "Pledge Loyalty", you would then be able after 10 Matches to start racking up 'Loyalist Points' (LP -- Pink Background) towards your intended Faction during this Event. You can probably still make the switch now, but you'll still need additional games to start racking them up. :mellow:

I am enjoying the comp for the most part , but what really suck is when you get disco by the server through no fault of your own and despite logging straight back in and continuing toi play for the rest of the match , it still gives you a damn time penalty and removes all the win reward MC and any bonus MC points. This needs to be addressed as it realyhacks you off.

Got a question that i havent seen anywhere so if the tournament supporters do the objectives do they get the +250k bonus after the objectives or not? Or do they get it when the 4 day event has ended?

For those saying great event 2 things to remember. 300 MC a day is unsustainable level of rewards. Thats a mech bay a day or a color or warhorn every 4 days. Most people would be willing to be seal clubbed for that. But if PGI continued it indefinitely it would be too detrimental to their bottom line. Also I.S. vs I.S. Clan vs Clan is sti RELATIVELY NEW and ed xciting / entertaining /unique. IF YOU WANT TO AC5UALLY HELP SAVE FACTION PLAY PLEASE GO READ AND REPLY TO ASHs THREAD IN THE FP FORUMS THAT PAUL IS ACTUALLY READING AND REPLYING TO / AND SAYS CONSIDERING TO IMPLEMENT WHATS POSSIBLE! And please read and hopefully like my posts starting on page 10 or 11.

I believe each need to have the other targeted. PGI would likely leave out such details. Both mechs have to have each targeted do damage then break off engagement . Without that there is nothing for the engine to distinguish which two mechs were engaged.

There does not seem to be a bonus with this event.

Yesterday was fun, today was complete and utter ****, incentivising these potatoes to chase first caps leaves everyone not in a light dead out of the gate.
0/10 for day two.
Won't be participating in the rest of this event as I hope that it will signal a sincere expression of my wish for FW to just die already. Its a colossal waste of resources dedicating any dev time to that POS.

First off, I applaude the IS vs IS nature of the event, and also, finally, you've rigged it so that the requested mode is the only one available.. FINALLY! :D

Sadly, there is a down side..

The game is right now buggy A.F.

Here's a short list:

1) Phantom First captures - I'm getting the first capture reward from spawn. No where near any capture point.
2) Phantom capturing rewards - Like first capture, I get capture bonuses when no where near a capture point.
3) WTF is a defensive kill? First time I've ever heard of that.. Care to clarify?
4) The drop lobby countdown skips numbers, goes back on numbers already counted, and skips entire swaths of numbers.. it's like 24 seconds... 23...25...22...26...18... it's silly.

Wow so much salt :D I did have a lot of fun doing runs in my Pirates Bane. You may need to examine your approach to conquest, not blame the mode and the devs ;)

I think many of the “FW inexperienced” players who came over from QP, just didn’t realize that in FW the strategies for Conquest are totally different.....i.e....in Fw the game is always determined by caps (99% of the time you don’t kill 48), so cap point control is key and thus a faster deck is generally advisable. In QP it is often just cap a couple of points, deathball and then cap a point or two if needed after all 12 enemies are dead. That doesn’t work in FW conquest....
FW regulars had the same learning curve when the introduced the mode here and there was salt then as well.

Engaged has a slightly different meaning...it's a range thing, which is why long range sniping doesn't work. Of course they neglected to let us know exactly what range counts as 'being engaged.' You can get a hit and run score without the other guy even knowing who hit him.

As far as i understand the Patch Note, and as far as i remember the situations when i got that Bonus, it was Kind of like „i shoot at a targeted mech near me, do some damage, get out of sight. Whenever i wasn‘t hit (maybe not targeted) for quite some time, i got that bonus.

Let me google that for you:

Defensive Kill is a reward for the kill of an enemy 'Mech, when that enemy had been in the act of capturing a base. Any friendly unit that attacked the enemy 'Mech within the last ten seconds will be awarded 4,500 c-bills and 60 XP

Thanks PGI, I'm really enjoying this faction event not just for the rewards but mostly for the fact it's new format. Different fixed game mode each day and the background info makes it interesting. So big thumbs up!Posted Image Posted Image

Definately dont have to be targeted / shot by the enemy, I found the easiest way was a light mech, er mediums, shoot an enemy at 400 meters, run away, wait till it said hit and run, repeat.

After 24hrs of nothing but Conquest I can safely say I HATE this game mode in FP. It is fun as a "change" of pace but to play it over and over and over and ...... (can you hear the mushy noise of me hitting my head against the wall?)
