I'm getting more ulcers just playing the damn thing.
PGI can take the damn MC and warhorns and shove it down their throats.

(Yeah, even I unfortunately think this is getting old already...)
So... we have this from earlier...

...in light of that, because the Match Score is a lot easier than I predicted, but ONLY provided that you don't lose more than 1 or 2 Mechs, and do a horrid amount of damage. That handler for Match Score really NEEDS some proper fixing with Faction Warfare.

It's worse than that... I'm only getting Siege Defense Matches as a Kurita-Aligned Pilot. There's NO way to get the Turret Count with that happening. Do I have to change sides or something?!?!?
~D. V. "This is soooooooooo damned confusing." Devnull
...but I've been refreshed on the realization that there's a real lack of available turrets to wipe away in Siege Mode. Which also means there's no reasonable way for most people (say, a minimum of even as little as 40% of the people doing the Event) to get 5, let alone just 1 or 2 turrets. Even further, having the chance to be able to legally shoot them in order for them to count is RNG-controlled, and people are already mad at PGI over those RNG shenanigans. There's no ability to control whether you're Defending or Attacking on a Siege Game Mode Match. This feels like somebody at PGI is bent on giving MWO's Community the proverbial middle finger. Because of that kind of Challenge inducing toxicity and frustration into the Player Base, the Rating is taking a hit again. It's now down to...
5.0/10(I should probably hit this Rating harder, but I'm trying to not be toxic myself!)
...and I'm at the breaking point where I give up on what remains of an Event. I'll be walking off now, calling this Event a hellish failure, and feeling without any hope that PGI would learn from all the mistakes that they made on this Event. Hell, I'll be extremely surprised if they did a Clan Version without all these damned hiccups.

I don't know how they coordinate, or why they all go to the same side, but the big teams always seem to be allied against the random pugs who answer calls-to-arms, resulting in a hugely imbalanced score bar...
When The Templars took a contract to participate in the event we intentionally went to Davion after seeing that Kurita had a high win rate. (We got super-fast drops!)
We usually drop with 11 or 12 so you likely didn't get a chance to drop with us sorry!
Still a very fun event and we stacked up boatloads of wins, some against teams, some against mixed groups. Good times all around.

I had to wrack my brains for a nice suggestion but I have one . A discount on Kurita and Davion mechs and / or decals would have added to the awesome factor .

After THIS doomed fiasco? ARE YOU INSANE? If PGI does NOT learn, then a Clan Edition would fail to ever have been worth even trying.

Sorry, we're clearly playing a totally different game here. It wasn't perfect, but by PGI standards this thing went pretty damned good.
I hope they do a Clan event as well, it will be massive fun!

Ok I got annoyed when l couldn't do some parts, but mostly that was on me to do.
Good one PGI.
Now let's get the clan one underway

There were issues though:
-Some challenges were too RNG or dumb behaviour dependent.
-Boredom Reach map >___<
-Full premades vs PuGs seal clubbing, thanks to FP population spike, a lot less now than usual.
-Faction allegiance limitations.

Check the In-Game Event Browser. You'll find your answer there, I think? I'm gonna go check right now, provided Real Life doesn't stop me cold.

I was watching the war log minute before the event ending. Last matches Kurita was winning with 3:1 ratio and was above the capture threshold.
So, Kurita won and took the planet.

Confirmed. I just checked the In-Game Event Browser. Kurita took ALL Four Planets during this Event. Unfortunately, the only Unit who had the power to score their tag was [(MS)] (aka "MercStar"), which means everyone else was shut out in that particular regard. At that rate, we can expect that whichever Faction that [(MS)] goes to during an Event will basically auto-win, therefore indicating that their Unit has grown way too large. All you can do then is to just simply complete the Event Challenges as well as you can, and walk away from the rest. Not much fun after that thought, eh?

interesting, I was getting matches faster PUGging.
from what I have read, I had better times in these matches, with a win/loss 4/1 each day, both Group and PUG , except for that last group, ended up like 3/4 , took a while to get defensive kill.
I was in some very good groups in the PUG drops, every one worked with each other, was strange to get in a functional PUG
never once was I (alt) picked up from LFG (for Faction Play) [I don't PUG on this account]
I enjoyed this campaign very much and had a lot of fun
missed campaign 4, because of food poison , hope things improve in time for the Clan Campaign
I had a lot of fun., even the ability to get drops with little wait time as pug

I predict that the clan vs clan event will end with a similar stomp or something close to it.

Low point...finding out someone whom I previously sort of respected on the forum is a real phallus-gobbling immature sore winner in the game. That can't be blamed on the event, though...he's probably like that all the time.
Also, I agree that five turrets was way...shall we say, optimistic...as a goal. I lucked out and got the attacker side on all of my siege matches, but too many people were going for them and I only ever got one. I'm certain that as 'lucky' as I was, there were others who were just as unlucky and didn't get a single attacker side. I don't have a problem with not getting the reward, because I wasn't about to do extra matches just for that one task. But the idea behind offering a reward for completing an event task is that it needs to be possible for everyone to complete it if they think it's important enough to go after it. This task was a watered down 'kill the energy carrier' because of the limited resources available to complete it. One team in every single match was completely shut out from the possibility of going up against turrets, and there aren't even enough of them on the map to satisfy the needs of the team that had them as targets. It's not unreasonable to expect the devs to do some simple math before deciding on these event tasks. Two would have been a reasonable goal, if not for the very real possibility of never having the role of attacker.
