So Russ says the event has brought FP pop up 5-6x from the past months. So how about this for a short term fix until they come up with whatever FP 5.0 might be.

One week IS v IS
One week IS v Clan
One week Clan v Clan

Repeat until FP 5.0 is released. It's something for everyone, and 2 of the 3 weeks people won't complain about clan v IS balance.

Not tough to do, brings population back, creates balance in FP with same tech bases fighting each other. And I miss shooting Kurita scum.

They need to make it easier to include all in these events and it’ll really explode. All non factions auto become Mercs and can choose a side, when event over they auto revert back to what they were previous.

Well it certainly has increased SoloQ wait times for me. Given the population size, there's going to be a downside with any attempt to shift players into different modes. And the time commitment for FW will mean a significant part of the population will never want much to do with it.

Agreed, but last night as a 4 man we got 5 consecutive insta drops. Last week we never got that as a 12 man

Making faction membership even more meaningless than it already is is not what I would call progress.

I never got what all the stink was about when it comes to playing in solo q vs faction q and why so many choose to hide in solo. Shoot 12 mechs or shoot 48 mechs with multiple tries. 48 sounds way more fun to me. By the time a normal drop starts it’s pretty much over in under 5 minutes.

I went free lance, and it lets me just join the underdog.
I like that.

I never played faction, this is really cool to me.
My QP builds have need to be adjusted due to the nature of the longevity of the fight and the objective.

I really like this.

I mean like anything else I need to break and go back to QP for a bit bc you can go on these really long strings of really bad teams... but, so far its cool.

The first event I'm not even gonna bother with. Don't have a unit, and pugging in FP is worst type of BS one can ever get himself into. Last time I tried FP in solo was absolutely atrocious. Constant random drops vs. full units, where most pugs didn't even know how to control mech, literally. Solo QP teams feel like grizzled veterans in comparison to folks you get dropped with in FP. I do not exaggerate one bit. So no, no more FP ever for me.

I'm happy for the people who enjoying it by the way, really.

I don’t know... do you want to be right or do you want to play a game with population? You can’t have it both ways in the current state of things unfortunately. I’d rather have a game mode where you can get matches, perhaps bring people back that have left even if it’s just for the weekend. However, your way is proven loserville at this point F loserville and any selfish B that would rather have it that way just so they can feel right but be alone whining how things suck.

Aside from time constraints, it is not fun for pugs to get farmed by the premades in GQ or times that 4x in FP. FP is a shark tank, and pugs hate to lose. Same reason why pugs avoid Solaris.

Population issues aside, there is no need to run it on a 3 week roster.

Alternating weeks of IS v Clan and [Is v IS + Clan v Clan, run concurrently] means no one gets left out if they are a loyalist.

Some people like myself don't own any clan mechs (at least not on this account). Others may not have IS mechs or only enough for a drop deck of one or the other.

Same reason they lose in GroupQ as well.

It is no different in ANY game mode.

There are good players and bad ones. Nothing really splits them apart as there is not the population. Anyone carrying on about being farmed just doesn't get it, or doesn't want to do anything about it.

Neither can be helped.
