Convergence is fine, its just that the arms are sooo far apart that it gets a little tricky, especially when leading shots (since you are not aiming at the enemy mech but at some point behind it).

It's a little very far fetched to attack someone to do their job right but providing neither appropriate proof nor grammar.

Do you even know how convergence works? It doesn't matter if there is a hand actuator or not, MWO has instant convergence, as long as you have your crosshairs on the enemy. Big enough physical distance between the hardpoints, however, can be detrimental when leading the target, or shooting at face-hugging range.

PGI will have to cram the arms into the shoulder sockets to make weapon convergence better in above two situations, but then it wouldn't look like a NStar anymore.

There's nothing they can do to fix convergence short of... well, shortening the arms. And they're already pretty much as short as they can be and still have elbows.

All I know, is that I kinda struggle with finding a right mix of 4 x pepsis of any kind and get them to work around a LFE 345.
Might not be of any convergence issues but rather the natural widht between the arms. Good side poker though..

Obviously you don't deserve the hits if you pilot a mech with such wide spread hardpoints. ;)

I just hade a "OHMYGODIJUSTKILLEDAFRIENDLY" moment when I fired off my dual gauss rifles just a a friendly med stepped out right in front me. But it just so happened that the Nightstar arms are so far apart that my shots actually went on either side of the friendly and still hit the bad guy. I thought that was kinda cool...

New meta - Walking nut-to-butt with a skinnier mech, using them as armor as you fire around them on both sides.

You do realize someone's going to do this on purpose now, right?

I actually did something similar with an EXE once. Many Mechs, I think it was a SCR, can perfectly stand in front of you, while your chest and arm lasers can fire without hitting them.
Cuddlebuddy dual-Mech power. And nice armor for the EXE.
The only problem is that you have to pilot an EXE :-/.

It's almost as if big robots with wide spread arms have their shots firing wide as well. Kingcrabitis.
