I see more and more suicides happen and mostly due to override. But having said that, I have had my mech suicide twice just from over heating and I never use override to begin with. In last time, I stood there for over 5 seconds waiting for it to cool off and it suddenly suicides on me. Never ever seen it do that before. I firmly believe something is not right.

Was it today? If so, could it possible be this?

if you are getting hot enough where it matters you are probably doing a bad job of managing your heat.

my preference is to leave override off unless i absolutely need to not shut down (say in a brawl with somone with a good aim). and sometimes there is an advantage to shutting down, like where both you and your enemy are one hit and you absolutely need to get your shot in first in order to stay in the game, in which case automatic shutdown is just what you need.

My preference is to leave override on and use power down when necessary. 2 of my biggest pet peeves in this games. 1. Almost nobody uses heat vision. So many times I spectate players shooting at invisible enemies. 2. Power down when you need to. Effective usage of power down saves you so much damage and improves your damage. Learn to power down at opportune times people.

This seems like a pretty popular request. I don't use override much myself, but I say give the players what they want.
