Every mech ive bought in the last two years is on my other account. So why would I play this account? And yes thats obvious.
They probably have multiple accounts too. Its fairly common for people to have multiple accounts. Keep that in mind next time you go jumping to conclusions without knowing any of the facts.
It's also pretty lame that you're trying to suppress people's opinions because you dont agree with what theyre saying. The difference between you and me is that I can accept when other peoples' opinions differ from mine. I also dont have a pathetic need to stat shame other people. I can win arguments without having to resort to that. You dont see me pointing out that youre only Tier3 so youre not entitled to an opinion, lmao.
Oh and since your 22000 forum posts and Elite Founder (oh look I have one of those too!) are on this account, new players may think you know what you are talking about.
All of those other non-players who "probably" have alts they play on I would say the same thing to. Post on an account with FP matches, and then talk about "the state of the game".

New people are not welcome in this high end, super important, end game content, unless they are willing to jump through hoops.
I have to argue this point. There's literally one and only one "hoop" - be willing to play as a team / follow the plan. That's it. As long as you're willing to follow the plan to the best of your ability, 90% of groups will be happy to have you. As long as you try your best in that respect, nobody seriously expects you magically be perfect at it, especially when you're new.
Now in order to follow the plan, you normally have to be able to listen to the plan. Not talk, just listen. So if you don't want to actually talk to anyone (or don't own a microphone to do so) - no problem. All you have to do is listen.
In that respect, a program such as Teamspeak is pretty important. Because it 1) lets you find other people interested in playing as a team and 2) lets you hear what they're saying (i.e. know what the plan actually is)
How this usually goes -
1) you join a teamspeak server
2) you wait until there's a lull in the conversation and ask (via microphone or typing) "do you guys need another person"
3) they say yes and add you to the in-game group
4) the game starts, a plan is communicated
5) you try and follow that plan as best as you can
Additional steps
6) you ask for feedback / advice / clarification if need be
7) you decide "I enjoyed playing with that group" and stick around for another game, and / or come back another day to play again
8) or you decide "I didn't enjoy playing with that group" (for whatever reason) and you go find a different one
For the record, if you get known as someone who's willing to follow the plan, groups will actively seek you out to play with, because even if you're only a mediocre player, having you around is almost always better than having some random guy that just does his own thing, no matter how good he is.
That's pretty much it. Personally, I don't find it to be a "toxic" environment at all - the vast majority of people interested in playing as a team are at least reasonably nice and social. If they're not, no one wants to be around them, and the problem sorts itself out rather quickly.
And there are lots of different kinds of groups, it's almost certain that you'll be able to find one your style. Some groups do happen to be pretty competitive. If that's not your thing, don't team up with them. There are other groups that are laid back and casual - team up with those guys instead. If you don't find people you like, keep trying until you find people you do like. And as an added bonus, you're allowed to have more than one group you like to play with. Some days you might want to play with group A, and other days you might want to play a different style with group B. That's OK!
Different groups have different styles in
1) inter-group culture (i.e. causual, competitive, loose group of friends, highly structured unit with defined hierarchies, etc.)
2) winning strategies (we go for the objectives, all we care about is a good fight and who cares about the objectives, etc.)
3) winning tactics (we like to snipe at range whenever possible, we like to brawl up close with srm's whenever possible, etc.)
Try several of these combinations, and you're sure to find something that suits you. Pretty much all of them welcome new people to play with.

I can confirm all of the above as someone who has been back in the game for 2.5 months and 1 month in faction play.
The 'rudest' thing I've ran into is when a unit member can't get into group, they will either then give then preferential treatment before someone not in unit, but more often they will split the group in half and the "dreaded 12 man" will Un-OP itself in the interest of fun for all. I've seen people averaging 2-300 score in FP play with EMP guys, and the EMP guy will notice and ask if they need to lower their mouse sensitivity.
EMP, the #1 team in game, playing with a tier 5 guy and offering advice. Just evil and toxic..

Funny seeing the guy who spent 2 games alt tabbed and stat shaming from Jarl's list on voice comms and shooting teammates vs drop calling complaining about tumbleweeds. I took that moment to find a group and learn how to play. I should thank you. But that's cool. I got 4.5M from PGI.

It's cool, I saw your edit.
Not saying I'm good, just improving.
Glad you broke WLR 1 last month.

And what about Quickplay when is this PSR forced progression being removed?

So your glass is always half empty eh? Or you only play as team 4?
The whole point is for good teams to play against good teams.
If it wasn't, they wouldn't put the best players with the biggest teams.
Paul wants GOOD TEAMS and GOOD PLAYERS to have GOOD MATCHES.
How on earth anyone thinks that that is a bad thing, to make the game worse somehow, what is the better solution?
Forced progression? You are Tier 3. Just lose more than you win, and you can stay there, and play everyone in the game, Tier 5 to 1. Or you can group play with 0 MM, or FP with no MM now, until this. What is the issue?

Let them try. Still better than right now, where there is zero MM for FP.

I'd still prefer a campaign system with an integrated troop deployment system (i.e. elite vs. regular vs. levy troops) and asymmetrical battles.
Having a "matchmaker" along with the current 12v12 24x7x52 nonsense reeks too much of eSports.

I agree that they should've kept it for at least a month, i'm sure more teams would come back.
I have just one addition to make. Solo players who did not want to drop in the "solo" queue created their own single-member units. I know I did.
Unit membership determined which queue one went.

I did too.
Didn't everyone?

At least the ones knowing what they did/do in FP.
Seriously, the way it was set up making your own "solo group" was the only way for deciding which side/faction you wanted to play for.
