yah, and what i said was/is happening is exactly why i said it needed buffs, not nerfs. you might think that everything i said was full of **** cause they nerfed it, but the nerf will only justify what i was saying more so. this mech IS NOT COMPETITIVE! if people really do not believe that now, they WILL when the nerfs kick in. this mech will become inferior to all comparable mechs. ECM is not the do all end all of buffs. it didnt make a huge difference in the mechs performance "as i can do about the same in non ECM variants". NOW LISTEN....this does not mean the mech was bad or even un usable. its a fun mech, and maybe will be after the nerfs...but my entire argument was that its not competitive, which is FACT. and will be 100% the case when the nerfs hit. wait and see. all mechs "IMOO" should meet the base requirements, when adjusting there performance, of being competitive "some can be more than others" but at bare MIN they all should be competitive to some level. if they are not, they need buffs. if they are TOO competitive, they need nerfs. its really simple. what is competitive? average success, use, and performance in Faction wars and Comp play. no difficult.

Comp is playing in a comp league. MRBC / Battle for Midway / MWO World Champs etc etc. I don't recall you being active in the leagues and certainly not at a high level.
I cannot see how you can make a statement of fact if you never play competitively.

so i do see everything from the MRBC games to the PGI Comp games and tourneys, and i can say iv yet to see a Fafnir used prominently in any capacity " maybe a one of" but never often and certainly not over better options for the role/job "like the annihilator" these mechs DO have a purpose and i DO see them used, but Fafnir is used the least. as for faction play... my unit is almost entirely faction play and do faction drops OFTEN, with other solid units "r79t, LODD, Mercstar, KCOM"occasionally" and other groups who have an active presence in Faction warfare. also i know allot of the people we have dropped against "such as KCOM" and i do not, when anyone is Inner Sphere, see Fafnir all that much if ever.
they def see more use then in comp play like MRBC and MWOMC but its almost never taken if that same player could take an annihilator. and almost no group will ask for Fafnir, instead they ask for annihilators, if needed for a call or strat. and all this is CURRENTLY, not how its going to be post the Fafnir nerfs to armor. if you didn't see it before, you will see them collect dust "over all game modes" after the nerf. accept for the dedicated players or people who like a challenge, or just Fafnir fanboys. regular joes and pros who have better options will take them.

So now you are basing your "facts" as the basis for 'your argument' on someone else's opinion.

Given the FAFNIR just came out for cbills that is pretty easy to understand from a logical standpoint.
That said last week, Division A North America, saw a Triple Fafnir drop in Comp. All of what, 3 weeks after they came out for cbills?
I don't know what comp you are watching but you seem to be, once again, horribly misinformed/unducated.
Your entire argument is based around:
- Someone else's opinion (apparently)
- Comp play (that you've never watched or played in recently)
- Faction Play (which is not comp play, you said comp, dont change the topic)

also, you keep dodging the point, or not even bothering to address that i pointed out how the mech will become worthless AFTER the nerf, never said it was now, said it was under used and a rare sight. and Faction Play is a MAJOR PART of this game, so stop acting like its not....Fafnir ARE rare in faction and USUALLY "right now as it stands" only brought if some one does not have a better alternative " like annihilator" for certain roles/strats. and this argument is pointless cause i will be proven right or wrong when the nerfs hit. sadly PGI didnt even give us very much time to see how the mech was performing since its release in c bills, but its been at least a month, so data does exist. everything im saying can be vetted and checked, you have provided ZERO evidence to support your statement other then YOUR opinion. show me over all performance numbers, show me the mech out performing other 100 ton mechs, show me any proof really that supports your side "that not from your own games and stats". its just as stupid as me trying to prove something with out proof "which i gave at the very beginning of this article" for why this mech needs buffs, not nerfs. put your money where your mouth is and back up what your saying.

You'd think that with side-torso like those, it'd come with ST quirks and hard to hit CT, well wrong. It has a really wide profile, compared to the Anni, side-peeking is quite a bee, and it's even problematic because you have to expose yourself completely to get your arm weapons to clear.
It has +22 CT quirk, and the CT is actually easy to hit on top of already easy to hit side torso. It would have made sense to have the CT really thin with the STs given immense quirks.
I honestly see Anni to be a better choice if it weren't for ECM and the cockpit-level mount. Even so, it doesn't really have the speed to quickly engage so it's not really a big plus compared to Anni that can tank better damage.
But that's just my thoughts.
seems im not the only one. wait as the post begin to appear in mass since the armor Nerf.
