It's missing heat dissipation. That needs to be addressed
I started a thread

*Nm I stand corrected, and realize my oversight. It's bizarre that the Cheetah doesn't have any dissipation, it it's really sub 250.

Heat dissipation quirks are usually only for mechs that can't use a 250 or higher engine as to compensate for internal/external heatsinks.

It's because the Cheeto is seen as being "too OP" to deserve quirks. The Inky's lack of quirks on most variants is probably for the same reason.

Go bug Chris about it. I bugged him about the MLX and that eventually got addressed.

Blackjacks have some of the best quirks on the IS side, though...

Yes they do. I meant that in humor. Referring to the mini-Atlas of old.

Would be more apt I suppose to say Stalker/Ncat/Nightstar I suppose. Even though the Ncat has some quirkage, it's lack of armor is what hurts

Nova Cat's shape is what kills it. All the problems of the Dragon except weapon space, none of the extra protection. Even half of the Dragon's armor quirks would be nice on it; bias it to STs instead of CT if you must.

Nightstar...would not be good even with armor (see NSR-9J, which has armor). NSR model really needs to be re-worked so the ears are dynamic as on the MK II, and it needs offensive quirks to help make up for the fact that its firepower is only ever that of a 70-tonner.

Stalkers are still better than either of those even as-is. Some extra torso yaw would be nice, but they aren't horrible 'Mechs to play.

Incubus has been fun so far, but I have one aesthetic complaint: the shoulder weapons do not mount symmetrically. The first energy weapon on the LT goes to the outboard hardpoint, whereas the first energy weapon on the RT goes to the inboard hardpoint. All of the pre-release screenshots seem to show symmetrical energy harpoints on the shoulders, so... what gives?

I guess you're talking INC-2 and yes it was noted. I surely hope they switch the hardpoint locations at some point.

You would think they would have learned with the Blood Asp that symmetry is important to customers..Posted Image

It's not as meaty as a Wolfhound, but feels strangely tanky, I ate a twin CERLL to the left ST and it barely went to orange armour. Borked hitboxes aside, it feels really good to pilot, much better than the Arctic Cheetah I would say.

Anyone else feel like the Incubus is too big/tall/wide?

A little chunkier then your average 30 tonner. Stick thin arms don't do much to shield your torso though. It actually feels kinda squat, maybe due to the high mounts warping my perception a bit.

Why take an ACH when the Incubus doesnt have fixed equipment? It's clearly an ACH 2.0, which makes it a tryhard wet dream at the very least and a better investment in the end run.

Yes... but as per that screenshot I posted yesterday it spreads damage like a boss. Ended a match on 16% yesterday and still had half my weaponry despite missing a leg, arm, torso and being bright orange all over. Still legged a light while playing hop along Cassidy who was trying to harass one of our heavies. Posted Image

Of course I've also had matches I was just shredded. Posted Image

I'd be careful with that comment of his - I can do without the ECM but as a regular light pilot I really miss jump jets and you are quite vulnerable to streak boats. The Incubus also has serious heat issues if you even remotely try to use all its hardpoints and maintain a good light speed. Overall a fun and useful mech but its really not even remotely like an arctic cheetah power wise when they were launched or even a current piranha. That said, the main downfall of both the ACH and INC currently are "they're no piranha". Posted Image

So far I've found INC's are really effective paired with other lights as everyone sees a piranha and prioritises it or you can hide under an ACH's ECM without expending all those skillpoints on the sensor tree. Cheesy but you take the little advantages and roll with them. Posted Image
