The one pony pic in here (so far) is someones wallpaper and so relevant to the OP. The rest? Not so much!

I strongly dislike bright wallpapers... they hurt my eyes, especialy during the dark hours of the day (so about 16-18 hours a day this time of the year... plus I sleep during the "daylight" hours at the moment as well... )... since I tend to not have lights on. So the darker the wallpaper the better in my opinion.

This is my current one, have had it for a few months now (I rarely change, and I never go back to one I have previously used either).



Yes, that's a 4:3 res, my widescreen died on me a bit ago, so had to go back to my old screen.

One of my favorite of Alex Iglesias' works. Not exactly fitting for a background in my opinion, but it's a good enough picture to make up for that.

Do you have something against photographing animals?

I also do birds (when they get close enough for a mere 300mm lens... ), deer, the occasional fox and bear, elk, and pretty much anything else I can find skittering around the local national parks, or zoos if it's cold or I'm feeling lazy (or too broke for backpacking). Sadly, most of it's sitting in folders I haven't gone through on the new windows install, and some of it's even still awaiting conversion from RAW format, so I grabbed what was in easy reach, filewise
