nah i live and take down the last mech like a boss. support mechs dont inflict pinpoint damage, they soften up other mechs for teams to finish off ie lrms or ams, bap to counter ecm etc. youd be suprised how impactful lrms can be

The OP's stance seems to assume the enemy is lead by a Rommel or a Patton.

At least in the random queue, the team who does something -- almost anything -- coherent tends to win.

I tend to follow whatever plan someone has the bravery to put forward, unless it's exceptionally bad,

Once a couple year backs, we had a kid on Random queue voip, about twelve years old, who was really bossing everyone around. All the old farts in the team, god bless them, followed the kid's instructions and we won.
