This is not pointed at the small playerbase who kicks butt, you know who you are. I am not a good enough pilot to make up for 8 bad pilots a match (There are at least 4 decent pilots normally). Not fun, nope not fun anymore.
Hmm wonder why I just got fed up (Events Events Events) can't imagine what brings out the bad pilots hogging the Solo que (Events) can't imagine at all.
I LOVE MECHWARRIOR NOT A FAN OF THE PLAYERBASE RIGHT NOW.

Sometimes RNGesus doesn't love you. It happens.
A better matchmaker would help though.

not only that the tier system is a glorified xp bar, meaning even the lowest will get there eventualy.
And you also dont play group queue which is known to have competent players in it so you lost your right to complain when you enter quick play. If your fed up with the majority of the players then YOU my dear friend are the problem not them. As an embassador of pugs i will tell you stop taking quick play serious, the moment you do is when you start having fun. dont meta tryhard build there, dont aim to get the most kills. Just sit down, relax, go with the flow, if your pugs charge in yolo either go in with them or try to challenge yourself to play the engagement to your favor. that my advice.

Hi Variant1,
Thank you for reading my post and your thoughtful reply. There is one point which I probably did not make properly. This aggravation is recent. I have played solo que since the first day of Beta and the quality of the teammates have now devolved into what it is now. Solo que has had its problems over the years, but it was tolerable, just recently I have noticed the que filled with pilots the skill level of the VIP on Escort Mode. With that said, I am saddened to informed you that we have filled the position you applied for. Thank you for applying and we wish you well on your hunt for that perfect job.
Sincerely,

hey man no problem. its the same with any game community that has 2 seperate queues (casual, competitive). The thing with mwo is that its a small niche market so it doesnt have that many players hence the level of skill is all over the place. it doesn't help that most players have left or are leaving (either burned out or moving onto something new). most online games have a large pool of players to easily match up of similar skilled players, just not the case with mwo. Pgi could if they wanted to ease the skill varience and queue with bots but since they said they arent planning to add ai into mwo im afraid mwo aint gon live much longer.
But i wish you the best in your future games.

Its like that because most players will eventually hit Tier 1, some just faster than others, because MS has static thresholds to hit, nor has PGI even considered a timely redistribution (T1-T4) of the player base, especially if they have no intention of changing the thresholds, or have a more flexible algorithm on movement based on the win/loss difference, something similar to how they had Elo setup.. or redistribution and changing/adding another stat to be used in the MM.

On subject, I've seen tons of posts by now about how bads are bad. Is it somehow occurred that in some magical year or a century QP consisted only of people who kicked everyone arse, dropping like trained unit, in best optimized mechs possible, always doing what's most tactically advantageous, while seeing each other for the first time?
Seriously, why you people join QP? Why not find some tryhard unit and drop in GP/FP?
Also, I think it is relevant observation. I'm quite ashamed of it, to be honest, but I still gonna share. Best results in QP you get depending how much of a total jerk you play as. The situation example: I'm in a Medium mech, or in somewhat more mobile Heavy. Of course nobody has any idea where enemies are, because recon isn't a thing in QP, and I see a wolfpack from unexpected direction. Predicting that they gonna munch on me and nobody will turn around to save my arse, I engage in crab walk and stomp in a direction of lonely Assault teammate, standing completely out of position, knowing it is much slower and tastier thing to munch on for an enemy wolf pack, while I'm getting on safe side of our nascaring deathball. This way I deal a lot more kills, more damage and eat a lot less. I'm pretty sure players who get better scores are the ones who play this way. My biggest flaw is that somehow I cannot order my brain to do same thing every time when I see teammate in trouble. Often I'm trying to warn/help it which gets us both killed. Other example would be being an Assault/Heavy and using teammates as meatshields, never lead the push. With Light you can be a whole new level of jerk, and I don't even wanna dive into it...
This is sad, and to be honest, I don't know what's better, good score on expense of someone else, and knowing you're ****head, or less score with a mind that at least you tried to play like a team and be helpful.

If you watch any of the YouTubers that put out their best matchscores (pretty much every video they will post on YouTube) they are using your tried and true method. Use the other players as a meatshield and use VOIP to order the rest of the team to focus on the target that are shooting them. Don't get me wrong I have never seen Solo Que be the best organized and what not like you suggested I was suggesting. I have just watched solo que degrade to the point where it's worse than it has ever been and its finally gotten me annoyed enough to want to just play a solo MechWarrior game now. This is my experience recently, others may have different experiences. Speaking of experiences, you must try an Ugly Burger, so tasty, so dripping with melty cheese. Travel to Redding California and do a search for a location near you, Best Burger you will ever have!

I had one of those, then I switched it to a Triple RAC2 build...then back to a Triple UAC2 build... I actually do really well in it until I run out of ammo... I run out very quickly I might add. Its a great build now days since the VIP skilled players like to just stand there and let you blast the heck outta them

However, I also hate the events because you would not believe what else crawls out of the woodwork to play them. I cannot remember the amount of times I died on Domination in a Medium or Heavy because 0-1 Assaults are in the yellow circle with me, while all the other Assaults try to snipe in some form or other.
I am also beginning to notice more of the problems with map balance, etc. It does make for a frustrating experience.
***EDIT: I keep seeing those "funny" 'Can I have your stuff? ' crop up in any of these discussions... Is that even possible in MWO?***

I can totally believe him when he says he can outscore at least most of his team.
Sometimes you get so many teammates getting sub 100 damage it isn't funny any more.
And yes we know Tier is practically useless, we've all been saying that for a long time now.
Alas, as Paul pointed out, Tier is not supposed to differentiate skill, only to keep veterans from newbies (or in his terms, working as intended).
Though I would have to look for that post if you want me to post that, do not have that handy.

Well no, also maybe yes.
No because transferring stuff to other players is not possible.
But if you contact support and make a good enough case with some good reasoning and be nice they might pull the mechs from one account and inject them into another.
That said, its probably more another way of saying "don't let the door hit you on the way out".

Sigh, yeah but why cant the MM even try to build an even team.
Like you cant pull some info from the loadouts.
For instance it just happens too many times for me that when I get Polar as map, the MM seems to put all LRM boats on the other side as well as the only ecm mechs in the match + spotters.
Why does one team get the LRM and ecm + TAG/NARC?
Can't the MM at lest try to even out LRM boats, dakka boats and ecm mechs among the team?
Or both teams get slow mechs, ya know, easy stuff to pull from a mech loadout.
