If your only going to play MWO for crap rewards and you cannot be bothered to use a browser that has password management, like nearly ALL of them now, then the QP pilots thank you for not having to carry you too.

Sorry that my mediocre jarl list position is actually longer than yours which makes logical explanation why convenience is important to promote game in current internet society, which has nothing to do with player skill but has to do with player low base, irrelevant.

You, sir, are a good start.

And I'll leave it at this point as everything needed to be said has been said and leave MWO territorial forum warriors to their totally doing-fine-not-low-playerbase game.

I have the Events page bookmarked and check there first to see whether there's any Challenges running or upcoming.

PGI have been failing to update the 'upcoming events' screen for the past couple of months. I think probably because they're actually making up events very close to the time the event starts.

Still, it'd be nice to have a bit more notice so I could plan my other leisure activities to maximise my MWO participation.

Don't get me wrong though. I'm very appreciative of the events and rewards.

Hold up OP. So because a player has to log in to see their event progress, that player should skip events -and all of the free MC that PGI now regularly gives away as part of these events- all because of the burden of having to log in?

Is that really what you are suggesting here?

People cant be bothered to spend one minute to check up on events? Is this some new millenials' BS?

Why back in my day we patiently waited for the screeching of Netscape Navigator, in order to connect to Mercnet.

Oh don't bring dumb generational BS into this. Depending on definition, older millenials can be in their late 30s. Old enough to know the internet before Google.

Well, if the only reason you are considering playing is to get event rewards, instead of, you know, actually enjoying playing the game, then you definitely should be skipping all the events. See you later, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

The fact that OP is writing hundred times more in this thread than actually filling out the password is just hilarious.

But this is society nowadays: It wasnt a good day if you couldnt complain about anything, no matter how stupid the topic.

Jesus Christ, please give me power to withstand this...

And yet you overcome your inability to login to see what event includes just to create this pointless QQ thread...

I honestly do not understand why you have to log every day on MWO forums, while majority of other sites or boards I visit have an option to keep you logged forever...

But on subject, you need to log on site only to see and claim special rewards, for ordinary event ones, you can check and claim them inside built-in MWO window. I already praise MWO for this feature, because before that it was serious pain to check events, as you had to keep browser on, tab out of game and refresh, while it caused two problems:
1. Systems with low RAM tend to slow down the game with open browser, since it eats up big chunk of it, even with single tab on.
2. MWO doesn't like folding, as it definitely can cause a crash. In my experience, some other games on CryEngine didn't work so well with tabbing out as well (if you play in fullscreen that is), so it might not be MWO exclusive issue.

It's companies job to make it as convenient as they can for their users/customers.

No it isn't. Their job is to find ways to make you spend more money on their product.

I'm still laughing at you making big deal of something so miniscule. Telling people to skip events cause you need to sign in to redeem stuff? Wow, what a crybaby.

Of all the reasons why MWO's population is so low, the log in requirement is at the very very bottom of the list.

Actually, smart games and intelligent game companies use something called, now hold on, it's a radical concept, email,...............to advertise events and that way, you are not bothered at all.............

Oh, I know......... Sigh....... In my day, we didn't have games....we had SIMS and you needed a security clearance to "just to get in the building" and you had to be on the cleared roster to play...... It took two main frame computers to run the SIM.... You kiddies are so funny sometimes; and, my Grand Children just might have wondered why PGI didn't "message them" about an event. I wonder to? Push marketing works !!

PGI: SIASD...... They don't communicate in-game, in-forum (unless you were bad) or in person......and we wonder why there aren't any players....

MWO uses Twitter, forums, AND in game UI to advertise events. As for e-mail, not even the world's most popular game League of Legends, bother to advertise events through it.

Huge amount of players nowadays prefer social media over e-mail, for notification.
